OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS FRIDAY 9TH MARCH 2018: BE FRANK

Open Heaven 9 March 2018

MEMORISE: Wherefore putting away lying, speak
everyman truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. Ephesians 4:25

Please read: Ephesians 4:23-25

MESSAGE:
I once visited a friend and his wife prepared some food for me. The meat was hard that it
could not be cut with the teeth, and the condiments were in their different compartments,
but I forced myself to eat a little. Thereafter, my
friend’s wife asked me how the food was.

“Wonderful” I replied. Dissatisfied, she probed,
“You are my daddy: please tell me the truth. How can my food be wonderful, yet my husband does not come home to eat?”

So I told her what was wrong with her food and gave her tips on how to
be better.

If you are ready to learn and become better, you cannot cover up whatever is missing in your life.

Do you have problems with a particular subject,
speak out, tell someone how bad you are at that
subject so that you can be helped. Be open to learn what you don’t know. Be frank, honest and
true to yourself

KEY POINT:
It is wisdom to learn what you don’t know in order to be what you desire to be. Only fools cover up their weaknesses and refuse to learn.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Deuteronomy 8-10
Mark 12:28-44

Hymn 2
1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His
Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the
skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4.But we never can prove the delights of His
love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His
feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will
go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

MEMORISE: For He knew who should betray Him; therefore said He, Ye are not all clean.
John 13:11

Please read: Jeremiah 33:2-3

MESSAGE:
A minister was trusting God for a new apartment. He prayed until God showed him his
new place in a vision.

Thereafter, he went
inspecting different accommodations. As they took him from one to another, he shook his head in disapproval because they were at variance with what he had been shown.

Eventually, he was taken to an apartment a bit more distant from the rest. As soon as he saw it, he jumped
at it in excitement and screamed, “This is my new house.”

When you see things before they happen, you stop being a blind seeker.

A blind seeker looks
for what he does not know and when he sees it, he will not recognize it. If you can walk close to
the Holy Spirit, He can have the eye of your understanding opened. Then you will be able to tell precisely what profession you are to get into, or what university you are to attend. You can
tell.

PRAYER POINT:
Ask God to open the eyes of your understanding.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Deuteronomy 5-7
Mark 12:1-27

Hymn 14
1. O spread the tidings ’round,
Wherever man is found,
Wherever human hearts and
Human woes abound.
Let every Christian tongue
Proclaim the joyful sound:
The comforter has come!
Chorus:
The Comforter has come!
The Comforter has come!
The Holy Ghost from heav’n,
The Father’s Promise giv’n,
O spread the tidings ’round,
Wherever man is found:
The Comforter has come!

2. The long, long night is past;
The morning breaks at last;
And hushed the dreadful wail
And fury of the blast,
As o’er the golden hills
The day advances fast!
The Comforter has come!

3. Lo, the great Kings of Kings,
With healing in His wings,
To every captive soul a full
Deliv’rance brings;
And thro’ the vacant cells
The song of triumph rings;
The Comforter has come!

4. O boundless love divine!
How shall this tongue of mine
To wond’ring mortals tell
The matchless grace divine-
That I, a child of hell,
Should in His image shine?
The Comforter has come!

Open Heaven 9 March 2018: Unstoppable

Memorise: For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. 2nd Samuel 22:30

Open Heaven 9 March 2018 Read: Psalm 27:1-6 (KJV)

27:1The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

27:2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

27:3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

27:4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

Open Heaven 9 March 2018 Message

The devil’s main objective is to prevent people from actualising their God-given goals, thereby stopping them from fulfilling their destiny. The devil accomplishes this by first separating his victims from the true God through disobedience. Open Heaven 8 March 2018

He then blindfolds and brainwashes them to become addicted to ungodly practices that are abominable to God and detrimental to their own wellbeing.

Such victims develop uncontrollable interests in evil acts such as sexual immorality, night crawling, prostitution, alcoholism, drug abuse, money rituals, occultism and other vices that usually result in a terminated destiny through untimely death.

I decree concerning you today; your destiny will not be trapped, and you will be unstoppable in the journey of life in the mighty Name of Jesus.

OPEN HEAVEN 9 MARCH 2018

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and todestroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

John 10:10

If you are a child of God, you need to recognise that the life of God you now possess has made you unstoppable against sickness, poverty, sin, destructive habits, demons and evil powers (2nd Peter 1:3-4, Romans 8:31).

Anyone who desires to be unstoppable must first of all be a partaker of God’s divine nature. You become a partaker of the divine nature by becoming born again, which means that you renounce sin and the devil, and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour.

Those who have the nature of God are shielded from every evil attack that can endanger their destiny, by an invisible covering of God. This truth is revealed in Psalm 27:5:

“For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock.”

As a partaker in God’s divine nature, there is a responsibility that goes along with it which makes you unstoppable to every onslaught of the devil, and this is the responsibility of being a good witness and a soul winner of Christ.

The devil cannot stop a witness for Christ because he or she carries the banner of God’s kingdom into the devil’s territory (Matthew 16:18).

Anyone who goes about telling everyone that Jesus saves, Jesus heals and Jesus provides, will always be victorious, even if all the host of hell should gather against such a person.

This was the experience of David when he was fighting the Lord’s battles, which is the reason why he wrote the words of today’s Bible reading. I pray that you also will experience the reality of this truth in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heaven 9 March 2018 Prayer Point

Father, as I raise up the banner of Your Kingdom everywhere I go, make me unstoppable in every facet of life in Jesus’ Name.

Wonderful story of love;

For all the pure and blest,

Rest in those mansions above

14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

OPEN HEAVEN 8 MARCH 2018 MESSAGE

Nobody can succeed in this world if the Lord withholds His mercy from him or her. I pray that God will show you His mercy by granting you divine favour today in Jesus’ Name. One character that illustrates a life operating under divine favour is Joseph. Genesis 39:21 says this concerning him;

“But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”

When you consider the events of His life, you will begin to understand the magnitude of God’s mercy available to someone operating under divine favour. For example, from today’s Bible reading, we see that nobody can kill a person operating under divine favour. Read: Tips About Marriage 2018

When Joseph’s brothers saw him coming, they said amongst themselves, “Let us kill him.” However, they were not able to carry out their devilish intentions because Joseph was operating under God’s favour. Read: Open Heaven 7 March 2018

When powerful people decide that the time has come for a divinely favoured person to die, they will surely fail. I want to assure you today by the word of the Lord, you will not die before your time in Jesus’ Name. Why am I so sure of this? My assurance stands on the declaration of the Almighty God in Deuteronomy 32:39:

“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.”

OPEN HEAVEN 8 MARCH 2018

Based on this declaration, when you are operating under the favour of God, nobody can kill you or terminate your destiny. As a matter of fact, Isaiah 54:17says this about you:

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”

By this word of the Lord, every weapon formed against you shall be neutralised in Jesus’ Name. When you are operating under the divine favour of God, rather than you dying, as wished by the enemies of your destiny and vision, the Lord will strengthen the arms of your spiritual hands to fulfil your destiny. Here is what the Holy Spirit says about Joseph in Genesis 49:23-24:

“The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel: )”

As the Lord did for Joseph, so shall He do for you today in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point – Open Heaven 8 March 2018

Father, as Your hands strengthened the arms of Joseph to fulfil his destiny, strengthen the arms of my hands today in Jesus’ Name.

MEMORISE: This is a beautiful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners: of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15

Please read: Acts 19:11-12

MESSAGE:
When we say let God arise and let His enemies be scattered, first ask yourself if you are His friend or enemy. Malachi 3:6 says God does not
change; not in character, power, desires, or plan.

If you used to be His enemy and then decide to be His friend, He will receive you like He
received Saul of Tarsus whom He eventually turned from a chief sinner into an Apostle of
Apostles.

This is the beauty of Christianity. No matter how terrible you have been, if you come to Jesus, He will not only receive you but will make something
praise worthy out of your life.

You have to repent and make right your crooked ways today.
God is still in the business of beautifying rebels!

There is nothing you have done in the past that He cannot forgive. Just go to Him humbly in
prayers.

ACTION POINT:
Genuinely ask Jesus into your heart today.

Memorise: And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. Genesis 39:2

Open Heaven 7 March 2018 Bible Reading: Genesis 37:3-11(KJV)

3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:

7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

8 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

“Thou shalt arise, and havemercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.”

Psalm 102:13

For everyone who has been looking up to God for assistance in one way or the other, I am happy to announce to you that the time of your favour has come in the mighty Name of Jesus.

I want you to utter the prophetic words of God in the above verse of scripture to yourself, inserting your name into the appropriate places. As you declare these words over yourself, believe in your heart that what is written is fulfilled in your life today. From this scripture, we discover that when a man’s time of favour comes, God does two things: He arises and He shows mercy.

OPEN HEAVEN 7 MARCH 2018

What are the implications of God arising? Based on our studies for the past two days, when God arises, his enemies are scattered (Psalm 68:1-3). This question then comes to mind: who are the enemies of God? Open Heaven 6 March 2018

Well, when you look at Acts 9:1-5, you will discover that the enemies of God are the enemies of His children. There was a man called Saul to Tarsus, who made it his life’s mission to persecute Christians, throwing them into prison and even killing them.

His hatred of Christians was so intense that he sought and got permission from the leaders of the Jewish nation to go to Damascus to seek and arrest them. His mandate was to bring them back to Jerusalem in bonds so that they could be severely dealt with.

On his way to Damascus, the Lord met him and knocked him down from his horse. Do you know that those persecuting you are about to be knocked down from their high horse right now? After knocking him down, the Lord spoke to Saul in Acts 9:4c saying,

“Saul, Saul, why persecutesthou me?”

Saul’s response was “How can I be persecuting you when I don’t even know who you are?” The Lord then said, “I Am Jesus, and it is Me you are persecuting when you persecute My children.”

Those tormenting the children of God don’t know that they are in serious danger, because they are actually fighting against God, and when God arises, His enemies will be scattered.

So if I were you, I would quickly accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour so that I can be numbered among God’s children. I would then congratulate myself, knowing well that my enemies are in serious trouble from now on.

Brethren, God is not blind. He is fully aware of everything happening here on earth, and He will arise for you today in Jesus’ Name.

MEMORISE: Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Matthew 6:27

Please read: Matthew 6:25-27

MESSAGE:
A man who had been chain smoking for years gave his life to Christ. Not long after, he went
back to cigarettes and he kept battling with a relapse of his Christian faith until one day, the brother who led him to The Lord plainly told him:

“If you truly took that decision to follow Jesus, then God has forgiven and saved you. The power to overcome this sinful habit has been released, but you have to choose to enforce your rights or not.
As long as you fail to receive and use the power, you will remain enslaved to smoking.”

The day you received Jesus Christ into your
heart, power was released unto you, but the power will not work till you exercise it. Change
occurs in the process of exercising power from the Holy Spirit. You have to daily present your fears before the Lord and allow His power to
take control.

Frequently ask for His help instead
of worrying and falling.

KEY POINT:
When you worry about a matter, your attempt to solve it may compound that matter.

All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer!

2. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a Friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our ev’ry weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer!

3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield You;
You wilt find a solace there.
