INTRODUCTION: Wealth is the abundance of valuable possessions or money. The Power to get wealth refers to both divine and physical enablement to prosper. When we have wealth, we have more than we need to sustain a normal life. To get wealth, knowledge, as well as its right application is important. Hence, this study will examine some fundamental truths about wealth and principles of wealth creation.

1. SOME FUNDAMENTAL TRUTHS ABOUT WEALTH
Christians should note that God wants us to prosper (Ps.35:27; 3Jn.2) because He desires for us to have an abundant life (Jn.10:10b), to provide financial resources for kingdom advancement (Lk.8:3), and to be able to show practical love to humanity (Prov.11:11a).

Christians are not called to just survive nor are they to be unduly extravagant (3 Jn.2; Phil.4:5). As Christians, we should aspire to get wealth and bear in mind that all blessings come from God and belong to Him (Jam.1:17). Also, all blessings come from God through men to men (Lk.6:38) – this is why we must keep healthy relationships. Being wealthy in God’s kingdom is a trust from God, we are only custodians (Deut.8:17-18).

It is pertinent to know that prosperity goes beyond financial blessings (Eph.1:3; 3Jn.2). Therefore, we must strive to achieve all levels of prosperity which include; spiritual, mental, bodily, financial, and relational prosperity (positive relationship with family, friends, and destiny helpers).

2. PRINCIPLES OF WEALTH CREATION
The principles of wealth creation can be broadly categorised under two divisions: Spiritual principles and Economic principles. To get wealth in the kingdom way, some of the necessary principles include:
1. The principle of absolute surrender (Job 22:21-26; Ps.112:1-3).

2. The principle of tithing and first fruit (Lev.27:30; Mal. 3:8-12; Prov.3:9-10).

3. The principle of giving (Lk.6:38; 2 Cor.9:6-7).

4. The principle of divine wisdom, direction, and strategies (Jam. 1:5; Gen.26:1-2, 12-13; 30:37-43).

In addition to the above, economic principles for wealth creation may include:
1. Principle of mental transformation (Prov.23:7a): the reality captured in your heart is what comes to manifestation. Imagine great things because your mind is an extraordinary fertile garden (Prov.4:23; Phil.4:8).

2. The principles of value: Your value is a measure of your skills, gifts, or abilities – acquired or inherent (Prov.18:16). Be too valuable to be ignored.

3. The principle of productivity: It involves refining and developing your value and turning it into a product or service. Creativity, innovation, competence, and excellence are magnets attracting people, resources, and opportunities to your life (Prov.22:29).

4. The principle of increase/multiplication (Matt.25:14-30): Know how to ‘grow’ money through savings and investments. However, you should be cautious and invest only in things you understand.

5. The principle of networking: Connect with people of like minds and enablers (Prov.13:20). Your network determines your net worth.

CONCLUSION: When God blesses you, He brings people, opportunities, and resources together to make you great.

INTRODUCTION: To be ravished is to have a feeling of delight; being filled with wonder and enchantment. So, to ravish your spouse is to give him or her an atmosphere full of passion and fascination. The husband, as well as his wife, has crucial roles to play to enjoy a romantic and successful marriage.

1. ROLES OF THE HUSBAND AND HIS WIFE
Being a good husband is not something that comes naturally to some men. However, loving another person is the most selfless thing anyone can do. Therefore:
1. A husband who loves his wife should celebrate her always (Prov.31:28b): be her best friend, appreciate her and share in her feelings (Gen.26:8).

2. A good husband should be protective and shield his wife from being disrespected by others (Eph.5:29).

3. He also respects her opinions, wishes, beliefs and communicates without using abusive words (Col.3:19; 4:6).

4. He does not force her to give up on her dreams to follow his, rather, they talk things through to see what works for both of them (Rom.12:10).

5. The husband should focus on the strength of his wife and talk less about her weaknesses (discuss the grey area and pray together for a change) -1 Pet.3:7; 4:8.

6. Do not lose the romance. (SOS.1:2; Prov.5:19). To be romantic, a husband should keep in mind important dates (wedding anniversary, birthdays, etc.)- Rom. 12:15.

7. As a good husband, be humorous and know how to cheer up your wife especially when she feels low (Prov.15:13; 17:22).

On the other hand, married women should note that:
1. To ravish your husband is a divine assignment given to you by God – to be your husband’s helper (Gen.2:18; Prov.12:4).

2. They should be women of virtue (Prov.12:4; 14:1).

3. To ravish your husband, you must be submissive to him (Eph.5:22; 1Pet.3:1-2).

4. As a wife you should be spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and recreationally knitted with your husband (Prov.12:25).

5. They must be caring and manage the home well (Prov.31:15).

6. Meeting your husband’s sexual needs is vital: do not use sex as a weapon of denial (SOS 1:13; 1Cor.7:4-5).

7. The husband must be celebrated and honoured as a king: in fact, he is your king.

CLASS ACTIVITY 1: (This is a discussion). At what point do spouses deviate from their responsibilities? Why?

2. BENEFITS OF RAVISHING YOUR SPOUSE
When a husband and his wife are knitted, there will be intimacy and mutual trust (Mk.10:8). Their love will be unquenchable (SOS 8:7). There will be joy, peace and progress in the home (Ps.128:1-6). It contributes to good health (Prov.14:30). Without a doubt, God will be present in such a loving home and their prayers will receive quick answers (Matt. 18:19; 1Pet. 3:7).

CLASS ACTIVITY 2: (Discussion) considering the definition of “ravish” indicated in the “Lesson Introduction,”what are the negative effects of not ravishing one’s spouse as indicated in the five benefits stated above.

One major reason people submit to telling lies is the fear of being punished. It was this fear that made Adam and Eve lie to God as soon as they heard Him call. One thing we have to remember is that fear is not from God, it’s from the devil.

So, each time you lie, you are confessing that you are a child of the devil. Some other people lie to show they are clever or smart, like Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5.

A lie is anything other than the absolute truth. Flattery, falsehood, truth mixed with lies and hypocritical statements are all nothing but lies. You should know that telling lies is a problem because all you will feel is guilt: you will not have a clear conscience.

For example, collecting more money than you are asked to pay in school from your parents is a lie. My beloved child, lying will only delay your punishment. In order to escape God’s punishment, do away with all lies.

43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

In John 9:5, Jesus Christ said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world”. He also said in Matthew 5:14, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid”. If you are a child of God, it means you are qualified to be called light. Jesus went further to say, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”(Matthew 5:1-6).

Everything God does, He does excellently. It means His shining is extraordinary. He wants you also to shine extraordinarily. God wants you to shine like Joseph did. In Genesis 41:1-44, when Joseph gave the interpretations of Pharaoh’s dreams, the latter said, “We cannot find another man like this in whom the Spirit of God dwells”.

The Lord wants us to shine like Moses. In Numbers 12:3, the Bible said, “There’s no man as meek as Moses”. He shone in his meekness. He wants us to shine like Deborah; In Judges 4:1-14, when it was time to go to war, even the captain said, ‘I won’t go unless Deborah comes along’ and she went with him.

He wants us to shine like Daniel. In Daniel 6:1-3, the Bible tells us that even though there were three people chosen to supervise other officers of the kingdom, Daniel excelled amongst them. An excellent spirit was found in him; he shone.

Now as Christians, we will shine by sharing the gospel and turning men to righteousness through the power of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 6:1-8, some people were chosen to be the original deacons, but if I ask you today, “Who is Prochorus? Who is Nicanor? Who is Timon?” you will most likely say, “I don’t know”. They were among the seven deacons; they were chosen but didn’t shine. God called you to shine. May you shine so brightly that the name of the Almighty God will be praised continually in your life.

God wants all His children to be happy at all times. A gloomy spirit is of the devil who continually wants us to be in Sorrow. Throughout Jesus’ ministry on earth, He was always telling His disciples to be of good cheer: in other words, that they shouldn’t be sorrowful.

He knew that a cheerful heart results in a smiling face, while a sorrowful heart always brings a sad face. The devil takes delight in the sorrow of a child of God; if there is ever a moment that you feel moody, it is a trick of the devil, don’t oblige him.

Beloved, if you are experiencing any bad situation now, be of good cheer because the Lord is with you, and He will deliver you. No situation or person is powerful enough to make you unhappy for so long. Sing songs of praise to God to snap out of unpleasant moods.

OPEN HEAVEN 27 APRIL 2023 MESSAGE

The Lord Jesus Christ said all commandments from God could be summarized into two: One, you must love God with all your heart, soul and mind, and two, love your neighbour as yourself (Matthew 22:37-40).

It is however easy to say, “I love God” with your mouth but what will really show your love for God is your obedience to all His commandments (John 14:15). You also cannot say you love your neighbour without showing it in your actions.

All followers of Christ have been commissioned to preach the gospel to all creatures (Mark 16:15) so, if you truly love God and your neighbours, everything you do will be to tell them about Jesus. We are enjoying Christ now because somebody told us about Him.

We were taught that Jesus is the burden-bearer (Matthew 11:28) Many of us came to Jesus because of our burdens. Nothing could have dragged me to that little building they were calling the headquarters of The Redeemed Christian Church of God but a big problem. Someone invited me to the church and said, “The Lord Jesus will carry your burden”. I never would have imagined myself worshipping in a small church built with wood, rather than a cathedral, if not for the burden I had.

Tell your friends that God is the great provider. Philippians 4:19 says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. Tell your friends that Jesus Christ is

the great enabler. He can help you and grant you all round success because you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).

As far as God is concerned, there are no two ways. You either love Him or hate Him. If you love Him, you will love your neighbours and tell them all you know about Jesus.
