I decree and declare that I belong to the good shepherd, I know Him and I am known of Him in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that though darkness covers the earth, and gross darkness the people, the LORD shall arise upon me, and His glory shall be seen upon me in Jesus’ name.

OPEN HEAVEN 1 JUNE 2023 MESSAGE

We will be discussing the final season of a person’s life today. At this stage, you are asking, “What legacy am l going to leave behind if God calls me home today?” At this point, you are not thinking of what happens while you are still here on earth, all that you start pursuing is a great legacy for yourself.

When you read 2 Timothy 4:7 and then backtrack to, two chapters before that, you would see what Paul was telling Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2: And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

He wanted to ensure that the things he stood for – his legacy, didn’t die with him. There is no way you can create a legacy if you are not already known for something while still alive. Start pursuing a godly course that you know the Lord has given you a burden for.

It’s a pity that only a few people ever get to this season in their lives. Many care only about what happens when they are on earth but the wise few care more about what will be said of them when they leave this world.

If you are amongst these wise few, your reputation would be more important to you than all the money in the world. Priverbs 22:1 says: A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

When you get to this season, you wouldn’t want anything to stain your name at all; instead, you would want to be remembered for greatness. You would spend time with your family members and loved ones.

There are people who pursued many things at the expense of their families only to later realise that the children they neglected were the only ones they could rely on to continue with their legacy.

If you really want to have a great legacy, you must spend time pouring yourself into your children. You should live your live in such a way that when you leave this world, they will have great things to say about you.

Mercy is an attitude of compassion, care, and concern grounded in love and sympathy towards others. It is expected that those who have received mercy from God would show the same to others around them. As one of God’s attributes, mercy is also a key character that He demands from His people.

In today’s Bible reading, a servant who owed his master ten thousand talents was pardoned, but as soon as he left his master’s presence, he met a fellow servant who owed him a hundred pence. He unleashed his full wrath on the poor fellow servant without mercy and imprisoned him. When the matter got to his master, the master asked him in Matthew 18:33: “Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee?”

The above scripture can be likened to what God expects when He shows you mercy. So, when you cry to God to show you mercy and forgive you, and He does, you are also expected to show mercy to everyone that comes in contact with you.

I decree and declare that I am purposeful. God created me for a reason and I will fulfil it in the name of Jesus.

I decree and declare that I discover my purpose, and do not get distracted by the devil to end up pursuing other things rather than the purpose of God for my life in the name of Jesus.

I decree and declare that I do good works and they outlive me in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that I receive the blessing of Abraham through Jesus Christ; I receive and enjoy the promise of the Spirit through faith.

I decree and declare that by the blessings of Calvary, I have victory over sin, over the devil and over death in Jesus’ name

I decree and declare that my family is kept from evil by the mercy of the Lord in Jesus’ name.

I decree: everything that has hindered the fulfilment of my dreams must be destroyed today, in Jesus’ name.

Thank You Father for the free gift of Your love. You loved me even when I didn’t know me. Thank You Lord.

Thank You Father for giving me Your Son as a ransom for my sins. Thank You for snatching me for the hands of eternal death.

Lord forgive me for the times I have done my will and hindered Yours. Forgive me for not being obedient to Your voice.

Father, grant me clarity and revelation of purpose in the name of Jesus.

Oh Lord, please reveal my talents and gifts to me. Let me begin to use them for Your glory in Jesus’ name.

Father, help me to use my gifts and talents well to serve You and serve humanity in Jesus’ name.

Help me Lord to live a purposeful and impactful life in the name of Jesus.

Lord Jesus, I ask that for this year all I do excels exceedingly in the name of Jesus.
