This is detrimental to the coming generation and younger believers, seeking to replicate the move of God.

If God was looking for people who were sufficient in themselves, He would have used the Scribes and Pharisees (perfect and upright people), not Fishermen (imperfect and unfit people).

What will make our generation different from other generations is not merely our prayers, fasting, or spiritual activities.

God demands that we carry out certain spiritual activities (prayer, fasting and giving), but none of these activities were meant to replace the genuine power and supremacy of God in our lives.

1. Heavenly Father, I thank You for the salvation of my soul. I thank You for my life, family, friends and colleagues.
Lord, I thank You for how far You have brought me. Lord, I know that I could never have come this far without Your help.

2. Lord, I thank You for the love, grace, peace, wisdom, favour, and many other blessings You have bestowed on me.
I thank You for your generosity to me and for always providing for my many needs. Thank You Lord.

3. Father, I thank You for good health. Thank You for my hands, legs, eyes, ears and every organ in my body. Lord, thank You.

4. Lord, please help me to be abundantly fruitful this year. Please use me to win more souls into the kingdom than ever before, in Jesus’ name.

5. Lord, help me to draw closer to You more than ever before. Please, open my heart to receive more from You with each passing day in this year, in Jesus’ name.

6. Lord, according to Your word in Psalms 1:3, let me prosper mightily in whatever I lay my hands on, in Jesus’ name. This year, I will experience increase on every side, in Jesus’ name.
Spiritually, financially, emotionally, mentally, maritally and in every other area of life, let me prosper mightily, in Jesus’ name.

7. I cover myself and my household with the blood of Jesus. I decree that no evil will come near us, in Jesus’ name. I will not be harmed or touched by the wicked, in Jesus’ name.

8. Lord, please deliver me from every enemy that is determined to harm me. Father, please grant me victory on all sides, in Jesus’ name.

Thanksgiving is an act that shows that you are grateful for something good done to you or for you.

However, not all thanksgiving results from occurrences.

At times, you may feel prompted to offer thanks even when something terrible has happened, and in this case, it is an act of faith.

A typical example is what happened at a wedding ceremony in one of our churches many years ago.

The couple had danced into the registry to sign the marriage register, and suddenly, the groom heard his name being called.

He responded and dropped dead. The Pastors prayed for 30 minutes, but nothing happened.

The Senior Pastor then remembered that I once taught them to try praise when prayers fail.

So, they started praising God and in less than 30 minutes, the dead man came back to life.

I believe that the faith they had in God triggered that thanksgiving.

Do you need a miracle in your life or family right now? Why not take the step of faith and begin to praise God for the next 30 minutes.

Praise God for who He is and for all he has ever done for you. Then watch what will happen.

And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.

MESSAGE
When God wants to do something big, He sometimes starts with something very small. When He wants to do the miraculous, He starts with the impossible. After all, when He sent His only Son to the world, He didn’t send Him to any of the best nations in the world at that time, rather, He sent Him to a little village called Bethlehem. God loves to start small so that He can show up in a big way and get all the credit.
Consider Hannah who was barren for many years, she asked God for just one son, and God gave her 6 more children (1 Samuel 2:21). I remember one time I asked God for just 50 pounds while in the United Kingdom many years ago, but God sent three people to me in quick successions that same day to give me 50 pounds each, so I had 150 pounds.
All that you need is in God, my dear. Don’t give in to fraud, ritual killings, cybercrimes, or prostitution because their end is destruction. Ask your Heavenly Father to meet your needs and trust Him to over-deliver.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please meet me at the point of my need today. Help me never to compromise my stand in You, in Jesus’ name.

OPEN HEAVEN 27 FEBRUARY 2024 MESSAGE

To fulfil your calling, you must be in full control of your body and not allow sin into your life at all.

Galatians 5:17 says that the body and spirit areal ways at war. You must be able to keep your body in check so that it does not put you in trouble.

When God calls you for an assignment, He will support you all the way so that you can succeed despite the forces that try to stop you.

However, Romans 8:31 says,
“If God be for you, who can be against you?”

The answer is, ‘You!’ If God is for you, yet you cannot control your body not to work against you, then you may not fulfil His call.

Not only must you stay away from sin, you must also do everything in moderation.

You cannot afford to sleep anytime you like, eat as you wish, or be intimate with your spouse as many times as you want.

Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 6:12:
All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 17 Prophetic Declarations By Apostle Joshua Selman

You must remain in control such that you cannot be brought under the power of even the things that are necessary.

In 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, Apostle Paul said, “I keep my body under.”

That is the apostle of the same grace that some people claim has taken care of everything, and that no matter how much we sin, it is fine.

Paul said that he kept his body under, in other words, I tell my stomach when it is going to eat next and my eyes when they are going to sleep next.

People have asked me how I fast for 40 days and nights, and I say, “Simple.

The night before I start, I go to an almanac, count 40 days, and mark when the fasting is to end.

Then I say to my stomach, ‘That date is the next time you will get food.’” The stomach will grumble because it doesn’t like that kind of situation.

When you drive along the street, every restaurant on the route will seem to be calling you, and you will smell the food in another house from almost a quarter kilometre away.

I don’t care; l ignore everything the devil tries.

After about 3-4 days, when my stomach sees that l am not yielding, it will keep quiet.

He that strives for mastery has to be temperate in all things.

The ultimate price has already been paid for us by Jesus Christ, and as believers, our greatness comes from hiding behind His cross.

Resist the urge to exalt yourself through pride and self-righteousness. True mightiness stems from being empowered by God. While our fasting, prayer, consecration, and giving are vital spiritual practices, in itself alone cannot make mighty individuals.

Jesus Christ surpasses these as the ultimate force. The error of complacency arises when we rely solely on our actions and activities (fasting, praying, Word study, etc), thinking they’re enough to command greatness.

To truly become mighty, we must balance between acknowledging Christ’s sacrifice (His price) and our own efforts (your price).

His price bought the product which provides the foundation, while our price helps to connect the product (blessings) to us.

When our spiritual activities hide behind the cross or become rooted in the cross, they become powerful and fruitful. Never substitute or replace the cross with self.
