Yesterday, I established that nothing is impossible for someone who prays.
Today, I will add that anything is achievable for a fellow who prays persistently.

Many people pray every day, but they fail to persist with specific prayer points, even though they haven’t gotten responses concerning them.

I was shocked the day my wife told me that when we first began full-time ministry, she would pray for me for at least 6 hours every day, asking God to have mercy on me so that I would not fail Him.
This is why I don’t joke with her at all. I respect and value her because God has been answering her prayers.
She doesn’t stay in one position to do this; she prays in the kitchen, toilet, bedroom, garden, in the car while driving, et cetera.
The only time she is not praying is when she is discussing with me or having a nice time with the children.
However, I am sure that even at those times, her spirit is still praying.
My dear child, continue to pray over that matter or that person until you see a change.

The answer to your prayers will come if you don’t give up.

INTRODUCTION:
Prayer is communication between man and divinity.
When prayer is effective it avails much. God want to do many things on the earth today, but it can only be accomplished through an active prayer ministry of the churches.  Through prayers we bring to pass the will of God on earth.

Let us pray;

1. Father, we thank You for who You are, the Almighty, the one who speaks of a thing and it comes into existence in Jesus name. – Ps. 95:2-3.
2. Father, we thank You for instituting the ministry of prayers and teaching us how to pray in RCCG, in Jesus name. – Ps. 100:4.
3. Father, we thank You for answering our prayers whenever we call upon You in Jesus name. – Jer. 33:3.
4. Father, we thank You because there is none like unto Thee, glorious in Holiness, fearful in praises, in Jesus name. – Ex 15:11.
5. Father thank You for saving us and giving us Your wisdom to know the truth. Thank You for the revelation of knowing You in Jesus name.

OPEN HEAVEN 23 JANUARY 2024 MESSAGE

Friendship is a very sensitive topic to discuss, especially in these last days when many have become lovers of themselves (2 Timothy 3:1-2).

In spite of this, however, everybody still needs good friends. Some friends can be closer to you than a brother – you need one or two of such friends around you.

Such friends will challenge you to do more for God and can tell you the truth when everyone else is afraid to do so.

They are people that you can have as a shoulder to lean on when the chips are down.

Acts 3:1 says that Peter and John went to the temple.

You may ask yourself, after the Holy Ghost descended on 120 people in Acts 2, why is the Bible bringing only these two to our notice?

The reason, I believe, is that they were friends who were part of Jesus’ inner circle.

They were three in that circle – Peter, James and John.

Out of these three, Peter and John had a close relationship even before Jesus died.

If you read John 13:21-26, at the last supper, when Jesus said somebody was going to betray Him without telling them who it was, Peter beckoned to John and told him to ask Jesus.

That is an example of a friend you can ask to pray for you concerning a matter you are not clear about, and he will hear from God for you.

After Jesus died and rose from the dead, the link between them obviously grew stronger.

In John 20:1-8, when Mary Magdalene discovered that Jesus had risen and came to tell the apostles, two of the apostles ran to the tomb; they were Peter and John.

It’s interesting to note that John is the one who wrote the story, and he stressed that he outran Peter and got to the tomb first – in fact, he repeated it twice!

I always wonder, “Why are you telling us that you beat him so emphatically?”

There seemed to be a friendly competition as to who loved Jesus more between them.

You need friends you can have healthy competitions with on who can pray the longest, who reads more Scriptures, who wins more souls and so on.

The link between Peter and John was strong, and it rested on their relationship with Jesus.

You need friends whose link with you is majorly based on the link you both have with Jesus Christ

RCCG is a church, the Lord had blessed with programs and services that has brought the kingdom of God closer to mankind. Our programs are so much Holy Spirit filled that testimonies, miracles, healings, salvations, etc., are inevitable.
To continue to enjoy this flow of mercies from God in our programs, we need to pray more in thanksgiving and supplications to God the miracle worker.

1. Father, we thank You for the success of the past Special programs in Jesus name. – Psa 103:2

2. Father, we thank You for the unprecedented number of souls won during our past programs in Jesus name. – Psa 103:4

3. We thank You for the anointing upon Daddy G.O. and all officiating ministers in the past programs and special services, in Jesus name.

4. Father, during, before and after these special programs and gatherings, please grant us journey mercies in Jesus name. – Ps. 121:1-8

I have heard many ministers preach about the power of prayer, methods of prayer, types of prayers, and the positions to take when praying.

However, the sad truth is that many of them do not pray. I know this because whenever some of them share their problems with me and I ask, “Have you prayed?” Some will say, “Daddy, I just need your counsel and help.”

I often respond by telling them that the reason their problems persist is because they are talking to everyone else except God.

I am a true testimony of the fact that prayer changes anything and anyone.

I used to be a very difficult fellow until my wife started praying for me every day: she would cry to God to change her husband.

Eventually, God arrested me, and I totally surrendered my life to Him.

Are any of your parents misbehaving, or is your teacher making school difficult for you?

All you need to do is open your mouth and pray for them every day.

Instead of worrying and crying, speak to a spiritual elder for godly counsel, and go on your knees to pray because with God, nothing is impossible.

One thing about being one of God’s best friends is that you must be ready to be pruned.

God’s best friends are fruit-bearers; that is why He said in John 15:16 that if you bear fruits and those fruits abide, you can ask anything of Him, and He will do it.

God will prune you till you are genuinely humble. He will prune you till you are completely dead to the flesh.

Once He marks you as someone to bring closer to Himself, He will start pruning you.

This is where many people drop off His friends list because they cannot endure His pruning.

Many years ago, I was at an airport, and I was to declare all the money that I had with me.

I only told the attendant about the notes and left out the coins. She told me to show her my purse, and I was embarrassed because I had to admit I had lied.

The lady let it go, but I heard God’s voice at that moment, “You are special to me, so I will not condone the smallest of lies from you.”

If you really want to be one of God’s best friends, you must be ready to meet His high standards.

Nobody can get close to God without going through intense discipline.

You must be willing to submit to His discipline if you want to become His best friend.

If God disciplines a person for doing something wrong and the person does not desist from committing that particular sin, He will eventually leave such a person as He cannot become friends with unrepentant people.

Once in a while, God tests His best friends. He takes them through a period of trials to prune them and make them perfect, wanting nothing (James 1:3-4).

Only a few people go through these trials and come out on the other side perfect.

Only a few people can submit to these tests without compromising their faith. Are you one of those people?

Beloved, it is true that divine pruning can be a painful exercise, so you must spend quality time in God’s presence daily to build your spiritual strength.

If you hold on and do not give up, you will not only become more fruitful, but you will also become one of God’s best friends.

As Christians, we are called to a lifestyle of love, forgiveness, and peace, even when we have to deal with people who do not like us.

I remember during one of the Holy Ghost Services at Redemption City, I told everyone to tell their neighbours: “Because I want to make Heaven, I will love you compulsorily.”
A fellow, who was quarrelling with his friend, refused to say it, but when I told them to repeat it, the other fellow dragged him by the hand and said the words to him.
Eventually, they resolved their quarrel.
As long as you are alive, you will come across people who will hurt you with their words and actions.
Don’t give them ‘fire for fire’; rather, smile and say, “God have mercy on you.” From experience, I have seen that when you respond with love in your heart, some people may think you are foolish.
However, if you remain consistent in this character, they will come to respect you and will learn from you.

Don’t abuse or insult anyone; if a matter is becoming unbearable, speak to a trusted counsellor to share your burden and pray with you.

INTRODUCTION: These are the people in authority, they are the decision makers of the land. Their orders are being carried out by all or else one will be punished and as believers. God instructed us to obey all authorities.

Let us pray;

1. Father, we thank You for our leaders because no one can lead except God ordained it in Jesus name. – Rom. 13:1.

2. Father, please put Your fear and wisdom in the heart of our leaders, in
Jesus name. – Matt. 15:14.

3. Father, uproot every plant that You have not planted in the government of our Nations, in Jesus name. – Matt.15:13.

4. Father, remove the wicked ones from government and leadership in our
nations, in Jesus name. – Prov. 12:12-13.

5. Father, help our leaders to be people that are seeking for peace and prosperity in their land, in Jesus name. – Jer. 29:7.

6. Father, we pray that our leaders will be humble and seek the face of the Lord in Jesus name.

7. Father, let the people that are leading walk in the fear God, in Jesus Name. – 2 Chron. 7:14

8. Father, we pray that our leaders will tremble before the Lord and serve Him only, in Jesus name. – Ps. 2:10-11.

9. Father, we pray that our leaders will have good advisers, in Jesus name. – Prov. 11:14.

10. Father, please by Your power, guide and control, direct the heart of our leaders to lead us well, in Jesus name. – Prov. 21:1

11. Father, help our leaders not to commit abomination in Jesus name. – Prov.16:12.

12. Father, help our government to take decisions that will take our nation to
a positive new level, in Jesus name.

13. Father, give our leaders wisdom, good knowledge and understanding that they
need to lead their subjects aright in Jesus name.

14. Father, by Your power, give our leaders divine creative ideas to create job opportunities for the poor masses, in Jesus name.

15. Father, let Your wind blow in my favour, my family, Your church and my nation in Jesus name.

[10]As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 20 JANUARY 2024 MESSAGE

Hospitality is the duty of every Christian because it encapsulates the central message of Christianity which is love.

I can’t say that I truly love you if I don’t give to you, help you, care for you, or show concern about your wellbeing.

This was the reason Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to love your neighbour as yourself (Matthew 22:37- 39).

Beloved, you should see every encounter that you have with people as opportunities to show them the love of God.

Father Abraham’s hospitality in hosting the three men that passed by his tent sealed God’s promise to give him a child (Genesis 18:1-10). Your miracles will also come when you help others.

Therefore, you should assist your classmates when they need help with difficult subjects, share your food with the needy, give money to beggars after you have covered it with the blood of Jesus, offer some water to those who are thirsty, encourage people with your words, and pray for people.

All these are acts of hospitality that show that you care about other people, and as you spread the love of Christ, you will be blessed.
