OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS THURSDAY 5TH APRIL 2018: GOD HAS A RE PLACEMENT I

MEMORISE: And Samuel said unto him, The Lord hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this
day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. 1 Samuel 15:28

Please read: 1 Samuel 15:1-28

MESSAGE:
God has a replacement for every person who He gives a task or an assignment to. In His infinite wisdom, God has lots of alternatives in the event that the person who He gives a task refuses to carry out that task.

Using King Saul as a case study, God instructed him to completely destroy
the Amalekites, but in his foolishness, he decided to selectively obey God’s instructions which ultimately led to his being replaced by David.

Whenever God gives you an instruction, you should listen carefully to what He says and do your best to obey that instruction to the letter so that God does not replace you.

The danger of being replaced by God is that the presence of God leaves the life of the person who has been replaced.

When the presence of.God is no more with a person, demons will come
and torment that person as was the case of Saul as seen in 1 Samuel 16:14. May God never replace you, and may His presence never depart from you!

ACTION POINT:
As a child of God, do everything within your power to always please God and obey Him.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Joshua 15-17
Luke 10:1-24

Hymn 2
1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His
Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the
skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4.But we never can prove the delights of His
love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His
feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will
go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

MEMORISE: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken

Luke 6:38

MESSAGE:
Being the son of a farmer, I grew up learning the
principles of farming, and I have discovered that
those same principles are very relevant to our
own lives.

In those days, I realised that the
quantity of seed that you could sow was determined by the size of your farm and the
proportion of the harvest you were willing to sacrifice.

The reason some people were richer
than others in my village was because they were willing to sacrifice large portions of their
harvests for sowing, they also had bigger farms than others.

Today, the proportion of the money you are
willing to sacrifice will determine how wealthy you will be in the future. As a teenager, this is
the best time to start sowing into your future.
Put some money aside for a skill acquisition
course, sow into God’s work, open a bank account and save money there, sow into the lives of already successful people. Be more
willing to sow than you are to eat, and you will see the great harvest that will come in the
future.

KEY POINT:
What you sow may leave your hand for a while, but it will return in many folds soon.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Joshua 12-14
Luke 9:37-62

Hymn 3
1. There shall be showers of blessing
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing
Sent from the Savior above

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy drop ’round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

2. There shall be showers of blessing
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.

3. There shall be showers of blessing
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us a refreshing;
Come now and honour Thy Word.

4. There shall be showers of blessing
Oh that today they might fall,
now as to God we are confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!

Open Heaven 5 April 2018 Memorise: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20

Read: 2 Kings 5:8-12 Open Heaven 5 April 2018

8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.

9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.

10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.

11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.

OPEN HEAVEN 5 APRIL 2018 THURSDAY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

I have a challenge with some of my spiritual children, and it has to do with their lack of faith in the infallible word of God. Although they profess to believe in the world of God, their actions and responses to God’s word plainly shows unbelief.

After standing on the altar of God to minister powerful words from God for their deliverance, some of them show their doubt and unbelief by insisting on meeting with me face to face in my office to lay hands on them before they would be delivered. Open Heaven 4 April 2018

This is disheartening, and I pray that God will make such people understand the power in His word from today onwards. Every word in this devotional is power-packed. Blessed are those who believe this. Many of these children of mine are like Naaman who expected Prophet Elisha to perform spiritual acrobatics on him, just like many “Deliverance ministers” are doing today. Beloved, I am telling you this emphatically today: there is healing in the word of God! The Holy Spirit says this so clearly in Psalms 107:20:

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Note the words that He used: “He sent his word”. He Himself did not leave this throne, He only sent His word and the word did the healing. Praise the Lord! I am sending the word of God to a person in need of it today, saying “Be healed in Jesus’ Name.”

OPEN HEAVEN 5 APRIL 2018

In line with the pattern of the spirit’s operation in today’s Bible reading, there is something you must do for the healing word to do the Lord’s bidding in your life: you mush wash! You must wash, not in River Jordan seven times, but in the Blood of Jesus Christ. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death. Sickness as you well know is an agent of death, and so your sins need to be washed away for you to obtain healing through the word. 1 John 1:8-9 says:

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Beloved, the above scripture in the healing word that the Lord is sending to you today, irrespective of the number of years you have spent in your walk with Him.

Do you believe it? The healing we are talking of today is not only physical; it is also spiritual, material, financial, marital, intellectual, and all-encompassing. In whatever area you need healing today, by the word of the Lord I say to you, be healed in Jesus’ mighty Name.

Prayer Point – Open Heaven 5 April 2018

Father, I believe Your word; Please heal me totally today in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heaven 4 April 2018 Memorise:Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. Isaiah 60:1

Read: 1 Kings 19:1-19 Open Heavens 4 April 2018

1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.

3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.

4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.

6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.

7 And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?

10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:

12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

14 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

15 And the Lord said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:

16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.

17 And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.

OPEN HEAVENS 4 APRIL 2018 WEDNESDAY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Hiding our identity or deliberately putting ourselves in obscurity does not serve our interest or that of our Father in heaven. Some people misrepresent humility by thinking that being extremely introverted is Christian virtue. Going by the command in today’s memory verse, this is not so.

Someone said the reason why the conjunction ‘and’ is not found between the words ‘arise’ and ‘shine’ in Isaiah 60:1 is because the rising and the shinning form a ‘simultaneous equation’. The rising presupposes a prompting to shine at the same time. In other words, there is no time lag between your rising and your shining. A failure to shine while rising has certain implications. When you rise, the Lord knows that your light has come and that He has bestowed His glory upon you.

It then follows that if you refuse to shine while the glory of the Lord is arisen upon you and your time passes away, you would have failed God and missed a great opportunity He gave you. May you not miss your opportunity in Jesus’ Name. Our Lord Jesus Christ in John 9:4-5 said:

“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can walk. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

This statement should bring to your remembrance that a time will come when Christians will no longer be in this world. Therefore, it is time for us to show our faces.

We children of God have been in hiding for too long a time; we must now show ourselves in the areas of education, commerce, politics, the military, transport, agriculture, science, and technology, and in all other sectors of life. God needs His children to serve as lights everywhere.

The good thing is that the time He wants us to do this is now. For this reason, I told my children during our annual thanksgiving service at the Redemption Camp that they should become active members of the political associations of their choice.

OPEN HEAVEN 4 APRIL 2018

In today’s Bible reading, we see how Elijah the prophet exhibited cowardice just after His exploits for God on Mount Carmel.

Because he was afraid of Jezebel, the powerful queen, he ran for his life and hid in the wilderness. After encountering God on Mount Sinai, the Lord commanded him to continue his assignment as prophet. 1st King 19:15a says

“And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus:”

In other words, he should hide on more. He had to show his face and go to complete his assignment as the prophet of God. Hiding our faces as children of God cannot help this generation.

Some of us exhibit cowardice and are reluctant to face up to this challenge. We must show our faces by confronting ungodliness in all spheres of life if we will make meaningful impact in our generation.

SING HYMN 16 – STAND UP! STAND UP FOR JESUS

Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!

Yet soldiers of the cross;

Lift high His royal banner,

It must not suffer loss:

From vict’ry unto vict’ry

His army shall He lead,

Till every foe is vanquished

And Christ is Lord indeed.

Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!

The trumpet call obey;

Forth to the mighty conflict

In this His glorious day.

Ye that are men, now serve Him

Against unnumbered foes;

Let courage rise with danger.

And strength to strength oppose.

Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!

Stand in His strength alone;

The arm of flesh will fail you;

Ye dare not trust your own.

Put on the Gospel armor,

And. Watching unto prayer,

Be never wanting there.

Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!

The strife will not be long:

This day the noise of battle,

The next the victor’s song;

To him that overcometh

A crown of life shall be;

He, with the King of glory

Shall reign eternally

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS TUESDAY 3RD APRIL 2018: GROWING IN GRACE

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS TUESDAY 3RD APRIL 2018: GROWING IN GRACE

Open Heaven 3 April 2018

MEMORISE: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8

Please read: Ephesians 2:8-9

MESSAGE:
Grace is probably the most important ingredient of our Christian faith. It is through grace that a
Christian becomes born again. It is through grace that a Christian can resist temptation. It is
through grace that we can achieve our goals in life. And it is through grace that we can make it
to Heaven.

Without God’s grace we can achieve
nothing because no matter how hard we work, we cannot work for everything we need. It is
therefore essential that we know how to get God’s grace and grow in that grace.

The Bible says that God gives grace to the humble and He resists the proud (James 4:6), this is a pointer to how we can get God’s grace.

It’s no wonder God also says that if His people can humble themselves and pray and seek His
face, He will hear their cry.

Humility is a
prerequisite for getting grace. To grow in grace
therefore, we must grow in humility.

God will only give you the ability to do the impossible if
He is sure that the great exploits will not make you feel as if you are now equal to Him

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please teach my heart to be humble.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Joshua 10-11
Luke 9:1-36

Hymn 7
1. I am Thine 0 Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Chorus
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Open Heavens Devotional 3rd April 2018 —Bringing Down His Glory

Memorise: “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the
prisoners heard them.” – Acts 16:25

Read: 2 Chronicles 5:1-14 (KJV)
1 Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David
his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he
among the treasures of the house of God.

2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel,
unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

3 Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled
themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.

4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.

5 And they brought up the ark, and the
tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.

6 Also king Solomon, and all the
congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep
and oxen, which could not be told nor
numbered for multitude.

7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the
cherubims:

8 For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof
above.

9 And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not
seen without. And there it is unto this day.

10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant
with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the
priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:

12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being
arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and
psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and
twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound
to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and
instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was
filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

Bible in One Year: Deuteronomy 33-34,
Colossians 1:1-23

Do you know that the glory of the Lord
makes the impossible possible? Indeed, the glory of God breaks Satan’s bars of iron and
demolishes anything that represents the
walls of Jericho in the life of a believer in Christ.

One way to attract God’s glory is
through worship. If you need any form of breakthrough in life, spend time worshipping God. However, you must learn how to worship God correctly. Before you can worship God, you need to know Him.

In today’s memory verse, we read about how God’s glory came down in the prison yard through intense worship rendered by Paul and Silas, two men who knew their God.
Instead of being engrossed in self-pity, they sand high praises to God, worshipping Him
for counting them worthy to experience the
fellowship of Christ’s suffering.

No wonder Paul wrote in Philippians 3:10:

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”

The result was God’s glory coming down into the prison yard, shaking the prison to its very foundations and loosing the chains with which they were bound.

When a man or woman carries the glory of God, there is absolutely nothing that will be impossible to him or her, because God’s glory is synonymous with His power.

In today’s Bible reading, it is amazing that in
spite of the meticulous setting of all the liturgical materials, and the orderly procession of the Levites and priests, God’s glory did not come down until the Levites
who were singers led the congregation of God’s people in intense worship. 2
Chronicles 5:13 says,

“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and
singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of
musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even
the house of the LORD;”

Beloved, I want to encourage you to be an ardent worshipper of God because it is good
and blessed to do so. However, I want you to know that when a sinner brings a sacrifice
of worship to God, God does not receive it because the sacrifice of a sinner is an
abomination to Him (Proverbs 15:8). So if you are not yet born again, surrender your
life to Jesus today, and this will qualify you to be an acceptable worshiper of the
Almighty Father. Open Heaven

Action Point: Devote quality time to personally worship God today, and the results will be
amazing.

Memorise: And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. Matthew 10:36

Bible  Read: Judges 15:9-15(KJV)

9 Then the Philistines went up, and pitched in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi.

10 And the men of Judah said, Why are
ye come up against us? And they
answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us.

11 Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is
this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.

12 And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.

13 And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.

14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

15 And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.

Samson had dealt a devastating physical and economic blow against the Philistines, and so seeking revenge, they laid siege and the Philistines told them how Samson had killed so many of them. To save their own necks, they struck an agreement that would see the Israelites bind and hand Samson over to the Philistines!

One lesson here is that the damage which external enemies cannot inflict would be an easy task for the enemies within. The men of Judah decided to hand Samson, their kinsman, over to his enemies.

Another lesson here is that while all the planning and bargaining to bind Samson was on going on, God said nothing. However, as soon as these plans were carried out, God arose for Samson. When God arose, Samson’s enemies were divinely defeated with the jawbone of an ass.

You can see here that the feeble nature of a weapon does not matter when God is at war. I prophesy to you today: the Almighty God will arise and scatter all enemies of His plan and purpose for your life that are within your household in Jesus’ Name.

The enemy within your household may not always be human but could come in other forms, such as a generational sickness that has claimed precious lives in your lineage.

Today is the end of that sickness in Jesus’ Name. It might be a successive chain of poverty that has been transferred from one generation to another; that chain is broken today in Jesus’ Name.

It could also be barrenness or failed marriage, but because you are representing God in your family, that enemy within your household is destroyed today in Jesus’ Name. Open heaven 1 April 2018

However, my advice is that after these
household enemies have been destroyed; keep worshipping God so that they do not
resurface. Most of the time, these enemies are spiritual entities that relocate from
dangerous zones where God’s children are.

Here is what the Lord says about this in Matthew 12:43-45 :“ When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places,seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself , and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the firs t… ”

Beloved, ensure you are a child of God
who is given to the intense worship of God alone. You will live to see the end of all enemies within your household who have
connived to hand you over to external
enemies. You will triumph over them all in Jesus ’ Name .

ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS

Onward Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before.
Christ, the royal Master,
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See, His banners go!

Chorus:
Onward , Christian soldiers !
Marching as to war ,
With the cross of Jesus,
Going on before.

At the name of Jesus
Satan’s host doth flee;
On then, Christian soldiers,
On to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver
At the shout of praise:
Brothers, lift your voices,
Loud your Anthems raise!

Like a mighty army
Moves the Church of God:
Brothers, we are treading
Where the saints have trod;
We are not divided,
All one Body we-
One in faith and Spirit One eternally.

Crowns and thrones may perish
Kingdoms rise and wane;
But the Church of Jesus
Constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never
‘Gainst the Church prevail;
We have Christ’s own promise,
Which can never fail.

Onward, then, ye people!
Join our happy throng;
Blend with ours your voices
In the triumph song.
Glory, laud and honor
Unto Christ, the King;
This through countless ages
Men and angels sing.

MEMORISE: Greater love hath no man than Thai, that a man lay down his life for His friends. John 15:13

Please read: John 15:13-14

MESSAGE:
All around the world, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is being celebrated in this season. Jesus’ genuine love for us gives great
significance to the season. He is truly a friendindeed.

As teenagers, you are quick to call one person or the other your best friend, but I have been on earth long enough to know that no one deserves the title ‘best friend’ except the Lord Jesus
Christ.

Who can leave his palace or mighty riches to come into a dirty slum just to reach out to you?

Most people will rather tell you to come and meet them where they are, that is even if they want to be associated with someone from the
slum. Open Heaven 1st April 2018

Which son of a president can let his
father’s subject beat him to a pulp and still plead for mercy from his father on behalf of his evil
perpetrators?

Who can die just so that you may live? Who can watch, protect and stay loyal to you even when you are unfaithful and disobedient to Him?

Who else can love you like Jesus Christ does, who else can be a better friend than Jesus
Christ?

KEY POINT:
If you still commit sin once in a while, ask God to help you to live holy. Return the gesture of
friendship that Jesus shows you daily

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Joshua 6-7
Luke 8:1-22

Hymn 10
1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer!

2. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a Friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our ev’ry weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer!

  • 3. Are we weak and heavy laden,Cumbered with a load of care?Precious Saviour, still our refuge,Take it to the Lord in prayer.Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?Take it to the Lord in prayer!In His arms He’ll take and shield You;You wilt find a solace there.
