Prayer Points on Today [Open Heavens 5 July 2018] – WEARY IN WELL-DOING?

Sing a worship song and exalt the name of Jesus for coming to the world just for you. Lord, I draw strength and courage from You to keep me moving. Bless the Lord for Who He was, Who He is and Who He will continue to be in your life, family, career and business.

1.Thank you, Father, for giving your son, as the ultimate sacrifice for the salvation of my soul and that of humanity.

2.Father, in anyway, l have fallen short of your glory, please, have mercy and forgive me, in Jesus’ name.

3.Father, please give me the grace to faithfully carry my cross as I follow after Your Son in Jesus’ Name.

Light is the manifestation of God’s creative word. Having been spoken into existence on the first day of creation, light came into being even before the sun and the moon, which were created on the forth day.

Light was separated from darkness and declared by God to be good (Genesis 1:4 & 18). Light and darkness are contrasted in several verse of the Bible, and in all cases, light is affirmed as superseding darkness. Ecclesiastes 2:13 equates wisdom with light and foolishness with darkness. Light is declared to be the path of righteousness, while darkness is the path of those who rebel against God (Proverbs 4:18, Job 18:5). I pray that the light of God will disperse every form of darkness in your life today in the mighty Name of Jesus.

At the beginning of creation, the world was filled with gross darkness. This prompted God to create light as a solution to the problem of darkness, which is why He is referred to as the Father of lights (James 1:17). Jesus also declared Himself as the light of world (John 8:12). As light, Christ role throughout His earthly ministry was to destroy the darkness of this world and enable humanity became children of light through faith (John 12:46, John 12:36).

He succeeded in His assignment and raised for Himself a people who are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). As His chosen people, our light must shine before all men to provide guidance and leadership in a world full of sin, confusion, hatred, danger and all kinds of wickedness. Jesus lived an exemplary life as the light of the world, and we also must fellow in His footsteps. Jesus illuminated the world by preaching the good news of the gospel with love and compassion.

Through His own life, He showed us how to live in holiness and righteousness in a world full of sin. He brought joy to the hearts of men by healing the sick, delivering the oppressed and raising the dead. He was a father to the fatherless, husband to the widow and hope to the hopeless. Functioning as light therefore signifies replicating everything that He did while He was here on earth (1st John 2:6).

We are to preach the good news of the gospel to all nations and ensure that lost souls are saved and properly made disciples of Christ. Holiness and righteousness should be our watchword and truth should be found in us always.

We must be agents of peace and progress in our communities as we show good neighbourliness. Through us, the sick should receive healing and the captives should be set free. We must provide succour to the fatherless, widows and the helpless in our society. We must speak out against sin, violence and wickedness in order to turn sinners to saints. The world must become a better place because of our presence and activities as light.

Father, please help me to function as light in a world full of darkness in Jesus’ Name.

MESSAGE:
If you learn to play your part so well in any partnership that involves God, God will also play His part. How He does His part depends on how you do yours. It will also be determined by His mercy; but one thing is sure: the day that He says it is no longer by your power but by
His Spirit, you should jubilate because from that time, you will make effortless progress.

Many believers do not get to experience such progress because they have not done what they should do for the Kingdom. Open Heaven 6 July 2018

You have to give your best to God at all times. As long as you reserve the best, God reserves His too.

Remember God will use the same container you gave with to return your harvest. Do you truly want to
move to the era of effortless progress? Then give God your best effort, gift, prayer, worship, thanksgiving, and give it to Him today.

It is a choice only you can make.

KEY POINT:
Some have not given their best because they have not taken their time to determine what their best is.

Daniel 2:23, “I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter.”

 Thank God for the lives of all our leaders in RCCG at all levels in all Nations.

 Let us thank God for the wisdom the Lord has granted our leaders in the running of the Church worldwide. Open Heaven 5 July 2018

 Ask God to be merciful unto us and our leaders in any area that we have sinned (Proverbs 28:13)

 Father, let our Church Leaders always be examples of wisdom, victory and power of God. Grant them victory and power to speak God’s word with boldness.

 The counsel of God concerning our leaders shall be established in Jesus name.

 Lord, make our leaders useful vessels and let them walk in fear and reverence of the Lord.

 Be their refuge, strength and deliverer in Jesus name.

 We counter every attempt by the enemy to shut the doors that the Lord has opened unto our leaders and RCCG worldwide.

 God of Victory! Let every form of lukewarmness, coldness, spiritual apathy, spiritual dryness, be separated from our leaders in Jesus Name. Open Heaven 6 July 2018
