DAILY DECLARATION

I decree and declare that I am a generous soul, therefore I prosper and am made rich. I water others, therefore, I will also be watered and remain ever fresh. INTRODUCTION: In the beginning, the simple purpose of clothing was to cover nakedness and to protect the body from harmful natural conditions, such as cold, animal bites, etc. With time,new parameters emerged against the existence of fashion. However, every believer in Christ, according to *1Peter 2:9,* is regarded as a ‘priest’ and priests are know to have a certain way of dressing just as God instructed Moses to make holy garments for glory and beauty for Aaron and his son (Ex. 28:2).

1. YOUR DRESS DEPICTS YOU
The clothes you wear at one point or the other reflect who you are (2Kgs.1:8; 2Sam. 13:18). It shows your mood, exactly how you feel at the moment; joyful or sorrowful (Gen. 37:34; Acts 12:21). It is also a pointer to what to achieve (2Sam. 3:31; Josh. 9:3-6). Your dress sense reveals your personality, character, and, style; if you are an influencer or mediocre. Putting on rumpled clothes is a simple display of slothfulness (Prov. 12:27).

A combination of riot colours and inappropriate sizes depict a carefree attitude, and lack of diligence (Prov. 21:25). Dressing intentionally in an immodest manner , to parade sensitive parts of the body, or provoke lust is a sign of mischief (1Cor. 8:13) because clothing sends a message about your morals or lack thereof (Prov. 7:10). Dressing in order to impress can e an albatross (1Sam. 17:38-39). A dressing meant to distract or raise question does not stem from love. Following every fashion trend blindly paints naivety and ignorance (Prov. 12:26).

2. BIBLICAL STANDARD.
God, irrespective of age and time has a standard for everything (Ps. 119:88). After the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, God clothed Adam and eve to cover their nakedness (Gen. 3:21). This simply means believers’ dress must cover their nakedness. Also, any dress worn by a believer must give glory to God (1Cor. 10:31) and beauty to the person (Ex. 28:40).

The fashion of this world is transient (1Cor. 7:31) so believers should always seek to honour God and not lust after the adulterated fashion of the world (1Jn. 2:15). Elegance is required in every believer’s dress sense (Ps. 45:13). Believers are expected to dress moderately and modestly all the time (1Tim. 2:9; 1Pet. 3:3-4). We must be decent in our dressing (1Cor. 14:40) knowing that everyone of us shall give an account to God (Rom. 14:12).

CONCLUSION: Always note that you will be addressed the way you are dressed and whatever you wear reflects the real you. Remember we are all expected to bring praise and Glory to God in whatever we do.

The parable of the talents is one of the most popular parables Jesus shared to teach what the end of the world would be like. It is the story of a master who gave three of his servants talents based on what they could handle.

The servants who were given five and two doubled their talents and were rewarded by the master, while the servant who was given one didn’t do anything with it. As a result, his one talent was taken away and given to the servant who started with five.

All of us have been given talents based on our unique abilities and within a time frame too. If you don’t understand this lesson, you may become jealous of others, thinking that you are being treated differently and others are better than you, but that is not the case.

Please, start learning to see the world and God’s blessing on other people with the mind of Christ. This will enable you to thank Him for the gift He has given you and focus on your abilities.

Not everyone gets the opportunity to stand before kings. Standing before kings represents being at the very top of your career or profession. It means that you have become so successful, you are also a king in your own field of operation. The Bible says that if you want to stand before kings, you must be diligent (Proverbs 22:29).

Laziness must disappear from your diary. Slothfulness must not be part of your lifestyle at all. You cannot rise to the top of your profession if you are lazy. The Bible says: The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. Proverbs 12:24

Proverbs 23:21 also says, “For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags”.

In the 1970s, there was a positive confession revolution. Many people confessed that they had Mercedes Benz cars, but you’ll find them still lazing around their homes by 10 a.m. on most days. Many years later, they were still making positive confessions but the Mercedes Benz cars did not appear.

It is not enough for you to confess that you will be great, you need to back it up with hard work. Greatness is not for lazy people. Proverbs 24:33-34 says, “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.”

It is the word of God that says those who would not work should not eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10). He has given you the power to make wealth as promised in Deuteronomy 8:18, but if you are not diligent at what you do for a living, the wealth will not come.

God can open a door for you, but you would have to get up and walk through it. My God does not bless laziness.

At the beginning of a new year, many people outline their resolutions to guide their conduct throughout the year. However, over 90% of these people don’t eventually follow through. I want to encourage you to do the following consistently so that you can experience daily miracles:

1. Praise and worship God like never before: You can pray, study God’s word, and meditate on it quietly, but it is impossible to praise God quietly. You cannot sing or testify to God’s goodness with your mouth closed. Occasionally, some people say, “God knows I’m grateful: He sees my heart,” but this is not right. Show your gratitude to God always in praises (Psalm 89:1).

2. Put God first: Don’t let anybody deceive you; God is not in need. The only reason He asks you to bring your tithes, first fruits and offerings to His house is so that He can bless you. As you obey this instruction, you will experience signs and wonders this year.

3. Speak up: Learn not to keep quiet or pretend before God. Tell Him exactly how things are, and He will help you.
