OPEN HEAVEN 16 FEBRUARY 2023 MESSAGE

Psalm 91:11-12 says the Lord will command His angels to carry you in their hands. Hebrews 1:13-14 tells us that angels are ministering spirits – in other words, they are sent to serve those who are children of God.

When people ask, “Daddy, why are you travelling alone at night, don’t you know it is dangerous?” I tell them I have my own bodyguards, only that they cannot be seen – two huge fellows, each one capable of dealing with any amount of confrontations. Their names are Goodness and Mercy. As Psalm 23:6 says, Goodness and Mercy shall follow you all the days of your life.

The first time you see an angel, you would most likely be afraid, because they are very huge. They are also very powerful – so powerful that one angel can kill 185,000 soldiers in one night (2 Kings 19:35). Whether you believe it or not, the day you became born again, one of such big and powerful angels was assigned to follow you everywhere you go and to do whatever you want him to do in line with the will of God. Anytime your enemies think they have gotten you, your angel can come in the middle of the night to save you (Acts 5:17-25, Acts 12:5-11).

Now, you must understand that even though angels are assigned to serve you, you still need to give them instructions to follow. They are primarily subject to God’s instructions, so to instruct them, echo God’s word back to them and they will obey promptly.

For example, God has already said that they will carry you so that you would not dash your foot against a stone (Psalm 91:12), this means that you can ask God to command them to clear any form of accident from your path before embarking on a journey. God said that if enemies gather against you in one way, they would flee in seven (Deuteronomy 28:7), so you can ask God to command angels to scatter the camp of your enemies.

You must understand though, that God’s word is only potent in the mouth of His children; if you are not born again, rather than angels obeying you, they can work against you. If you don’t believe me, ask Balaam (Numbers 22:21-35).

INTRODUCTION: A sign is an evidential proof of something to be true. Pharaoh doubted God in Exodus 5:1-2 but he bowed after he encountered God in signs and wonders in Exodus 12:29-32. A wonder is an unusual occurrence, a miracle that make people to marvel. In Acts 3:1-10 when the man who has been lame for 40 years suddenly began to walk, leap and praise God, everybody around looked and rejoiced at him in amazement.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, I thank You for the whole world is full of Your wonders, in Jesus name.

2. Father, I thank You for the miracle, signs and wonder that the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus has brought to the whole world, in Jesus name.

OPEN HEAVEN 15 FEBRUARY 2023 MESSAGE

Our Bible reading for today says that Jesus is seated above all principalities and powers. If you are a child of God, you are part of the body of Christ and the body of Christ includes His feet. The biggest demon is under the feet of Jesus; you are therefore above the biggest demon.

In John 14:13, Jesus said that if we ask for anything we want in His name, He would do it, that the Father may be glorified in Him. Philippians 2:9-11 says that He has a name that is above every other; that at His name, all knees should bow – whether those in heaven, on earth or underneath the earth.

Mark 16:17 says, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.” When you cast out demons in Jesus’ name, they will flee, if you are truly born again. You must note however, that there are two types of demon-possessed people – unwilling victims (possessed by demons against their wish and desiring deliverance) and the willing.

It is easy to deliver the unwilling because the host is in agreement with you to cast out the demon. For the willing victims however, they don’t want to be delivered and you cannot force them. The only thing you can do is to find a way to convince the fellow to seek deliverance.

One day, a man came to my office with his wife and said, “Daddy, my wife is a witch; please help me”. The woman retorted, “Don’t mind him, it is his mother who is a witch”. I responded, “No problem. I will pray a prayer that if you are not a witch, then you would just keep prospering, but if you are truly one, then I will bind that demon inside you so that it won’t be able to go out”.

She said, “Go ahead and pray the prayer”. I prayed and they left. One month later, her husband brought her back to me; this time, she was all swollen, because the demon in her was trapped in her body. By then, she was ready to be delivered.

Take charge over every demon in your vicinity because as a child of God, you have the power to do so.

Valentine’s Day is a day when love is celebrated all over the world.

While love may mean a lot of different things to different people, to the believer, there is only one definition of love and that is God.

So while many people may engage in all sorts activities in a bid to celebrate the day, your approach as a citizen of God’s Kingdom must be different.

On this a day marked all over the world to show love and gratitude, you do not have to feel left out or alone. You can be part of those celebrating Valentine’s the right way.

1. GIVE THANKS

On a day dedicated to celebrating and remembering love, cast your mind back on the greatest love ever shown – the love of God through Christ and be grateful for it.

Lavishly give thanks to God for showing you a kind of love never shown before. An unbeatable kind of love.

Valentine’s day is a day to pray and give God thanks for his special love for you and me.

Do not be ignorant or unaware of the magnitude of the blessing God’s love gave to us.

A love that welcomes us even at our lowest and our worst. A love that is patient to transform us and jealously guards us with lovingkindness.

Declare: I am grateful, and I do not take God’s love for me for granted. I give thanks to God for His love for me and those around me.

2. RESPOND TO GOD’S LOVE

After recognizing and appreciating God’s love for you, it is important that you reciprocate it.

How do you do this?

Respond to God’s love by loving Him in return.

Sing worship songs to Him, study His Word, pray, spread His Word to people, etc.

3. SHOW LOVE TO YOUR SPOUSE

If you are married, Valentine’s Day is another opportunity for you to lavishly shower love on your spouse.

Showing love to your legally married spouse under God is within the will of God.

If you are an adult in a godly relationship leading to marriage, you can also show love to your partner in Godly ways.

Surprise your spouse with a present, help them do something they need help with, etc

Remember, fornication and adultery are sins before God. So premarital sex is NOT one of the ways to celebrate Valentine’s as a believer.

4. SHOW LOVE TO OTHERS

Love is not restricted to romantic relationships alone. Love is for everybody.

God showers us so bountifully with love and we must do same for others.

As you celebrate Valentine’s Day with God and with your spouse, be sure to extend the love out to people.

Family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, strangers, acquaintances, or your employer.

Let people xperience God’s love through you.

There are various ways to demonstrate God’s love to others this Valentine.

You can pray for them, encourage them, give them gifts, spend time with them studying the word and generally assist them.

These can go a long way for some people.

5. LOVE YOURSELF AND BE HAPPY

Avoid the trap of jealousy and comparison. Stay away from anything that makes you lust after what people have and wallow in misery, wishing you had it.

If you are single, be happy and content with Jesus as you trust Him for a blessed partner for you.

Do not succumb to the pressure of feeling lonely and left out this Valentine.

Remember that you are so dearly loved by the greatest person – Jesus.

In this world where sin is trivialized and given sweet names, it is expedient for you to know that you should not touch sin on anything that represents it. This is because sin will erode you of many benefits, such as a sweet communion with the Holy Spirit. Therefore, every part of your body should be kept holy.

Your tongue should be used in praising God and speaking good about Him and other people. Your hands should be used for worshipping God and doing honest work, not stealing, smoking, fighting, or touching people inappropriately.

Your eyes should be used in seeing the good in people and not to stare at people’s private parts or nudes on the internet. Your ears should listen to godly messages and music. Your legs should take you to good places and not indecent parties or places you cannot declare to your parents/guardians.

Your mind should not be left out as it is where actions are premeditated before being carried out by other parts of the body. Therefore, guard your thoughts by feeding your mind with the right materials, such as the word of God, good books, and pure conversations. Note that failure to do this will lead you to touch what you ought not to.

Happiness is a temporary feeling. but joy is long-lasting. God did not say it will all be colourful when you are His child. In His word, He said that trials are a test of your faith, but His will for you is to rejoice and give thanks in any circumstance. I know it may be difficult to rejoice when you are passing through tough times, but you need to hold on to the joy of the Lord because therein lies your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Staying moody and sad when you have a challenge will affect your relationship with people, and they might start avoiding you. Learn from Paul and Silas, who praised God when bound in chains in prison, and they got help from above (Acts 16:25-34). So, rather than be sad or moody when going through trials, rejoice.

Do you know that the devil is happy when you are sad? Don’t give him room to be happy over you. Rejoicing also shows that you are confident that God can save you because it means you are not concentrating on the situation but on God.

OPEN HEAVEN 13 FEBRUARY 2023 MESSAGE

Doctors are wonderful people and God has used them to save many lives. However, a doctor can try his or her best without the patient getting better. Doctors are limited because they can only try their best; the Almighty God is the healer. I believe that the Coronavirus has shown the world now that only God can heal.

For every vaccine that scientists created thinking they had contained the virus, a new variant emerged. There are sicknesses that doctors tag as incurable. That word does not exist in Jesus’ dictionary because He heals all sicknesses and diseases. There are sicknesses that doctors just cannot diagnose. My God does not even need a diagnosis before He heals you.

A woman who kept throwing up everything she ate and couldn’t be cured by doctors came to one of our services in the RCCG. Just as I was about to start preaching and said, “Let somebody shout Halleluyah”, she shouted halleluyah and a worm jumped out of her mouth. She did not have to undergo any tests, Jesus just got rid of the problem in an instant.

In Jeremiah 32:27, God said: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Beyond healing, God can ensure that you never fall sick again. He can shield you from sickness to such an extent that even if everyone around you gets infected with a contagious disease, you would be immune to it.

Beloved, obey God completely and He will ensure that you live above sicknesses and diseases. You should also note that If He heals a person and the fellow goes back into sin, a worse disease will come on such a fellow John 5:14) hence a holy lifestyle is mandatory for all His children.

God is our healer, put all your faith in Him like the woman in our Bible reading today and you will receive divine healing in any area you require it in Jesus’ name.

Heavenly Father I thank You for today, for bringing me to yet another beautiful day that You have made. Lord accept my thanks in Jesus name
