INTRODUCTION
Kingdom influencers are believers who impact the world through their ministries and in the marketplaces like the media, politics, hospitality, fashion, marketing, music, education, and technology; by sharing their faith, substance, and expertise to enlarge God’s Kingdom here on earth. God needs his children to be Kingdom influences who will take over the spheres of influence here on earth for the excellent execution of His agenda. Are you willing to partner with God on this mission?

LESSON OUTLINES
1. ATTRIBUTES OF KINGDOM INFLUENCERS
2. BECOMING A KINGDOM INFLUENCER

ATTRIBUTES OF KINGDOM INFLUENCERS

Kingdom influencers, being believers in Christ, contribute significantly to the economy and social well-being of their societies through their chosen careers, vacations, or divine calling (Acts 16:14-15, 40). They are full of good works and positively showcase the grace of God to the people around them (Acts 9:36-40; Luke 23:50-51). They are believers who have a good mastery of their respective industries and thus use a combination of faith and competence to influence happenings around them (Exodus 31:2-6). They are core professionals who strategically promote Jesus along with their trade e.g. football stars, athletes, scientists, etc, and give the credit for their achievements to God. Kingdom influences have specialised knowledge and authority in a specific subject and as such are irresistible forces in their domain (Judges 4:4-5; 2Samuel. 23:9-10).
As ambassadors of Christ, they deliberately dominate and make God to know anywhere they find themselves (2Corinthians 5:20).

BECOMING A KINGDOM INFLUENCER

God has called us to influence our world positively. Therefore, a kingdom influencer must have confessed his/her sins to God, accepted Jesus as his/her personal Savior and lord (Romans 10:9), and be ready to always share the good news about him (Romans 1:16). Being filled with the Holy Spirit – the Master strategist – cannot be over – emphasized (Ephesians 5:18).
To be Kingdom influences indeed, we have to develop a large heart: friendly and accommodating (Proverbs 18:24). We also needs to get ready to work hard, work Smart, work tenacoiusly and aim at becoming known authorities or experts within our feed of endeavours (1Kings 7:13-14). As Christians, we must establish a strong voice in our positions like the three Hebrew men (Daniel 3:16-19; 28-29). We must always be Game Changers in our spheres of influence (1Samuel 17:32). Kingdom influencers have to be good stewards with accountability in mind (Luke 19:16-17).

CONCLUSION
Everyone has influence. God expects us to be good stewards of that influence for His kingdom’s sake.

QUESTION
1. Mention four attribute of kingdom influencers.
2. Identify five things to do to become a kingdom influencer.

BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 17:1-4

LESSON INTRODUCTION: To every creature, there will always be temptations to sin, but there is a curse for such a person through whom the temptation comes. In our society today, a lot of things are dragging men and women into temptation but we as believers should be able to inspire them through godly advice never to succumb to the urge of committing sin. Cashless policies, loss of jobs, financial burdens here and there are the menaces begrudging our nation but we should not make people to be burdened through our reckless behaviour or advice.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE
OFFENCES MUST COME

Temptations, snares, traps set to entice to sin are sure to come. What are some of the temptations we can envisage in our earthly journey?

i. Natural desires that God has given us – 1 Corinthians 10:31.

ii. Influential temptations through boss, colleague, spouse, etc.

iii. Promotion temptation – Genesis 39:9.

iv. Continuous worldly allures-I John 5:15-17.

v. Loneliness.

vi. Betrayal of trust.

LESSON OUTLINE TWO
HANDLING OFFENCES
Proverbs 16:20 says that he that handles a matter wisely shall find good.

Let us look at how we can handle temptations;

1. Share your trying time with God, do not battle alone – Prov. 15:22.

2. Flee from any company that lures you into offence – II Tim. 2:22.

3. Watch who you relate with.

4. Be cautious, do not be like Samson.

5. Depend on God only – I Samuel 2:9.

6. Discipline your senses especially your will and emotion – Gal. 2:20.

7. Let old things pass away permanently. Learn from Judas – II Cor. 5:17.

ACTIVITY: In what areas of your life do you need divine intervention?

SUMMARY: Remember the children of Lot that caused offence to their father. Deal with everything that brings you into temptation.

CONCLUSION: Never allow yourself to be used by the devil to tempt or hurt.

BIBLE PASSAGE: GENESIS 29:11-20

11 Then Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice and wept.

12 And Jacob told Rachel that he [was] her father’s relative and that he [was] Rebekah’s son. So she ran and told her father.

13 Then it came to pass, when Laban heard the report about Jacob his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him and kissed him, and brought him to his house. So he told Laban all these things.

14 And Laban said to him, “Surely you [are] my bone and my flesh.” And he stayed with him for a month.

15 Then Laban said to Jacob, “Because you [are] my relative, should you therefore serve me for nothing? Tell me, what [should] your wages [be?”]

16 Now Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder [was] Leah, and the name of the younger [was] Rachel.

17 Leah’s eyes [were] delicate, but Rachel was beautiful of form and appearance.

18 Now Jacob loved Rachel; so he said, “I will serve you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter.”

19 And Laban said, “[It is] better that I give her to you than that I should give her to another man. Stay with me.”

20 So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed [only] a few days to him because of the love he had for her.

INTRODUCTION
The foundation of a godly marriage must be properly laid on sound moral and biblical principles. Before the exchange of vows, where the Christian fiance and fiancee will say ‘I Do’, they should have passed through the phase of courtship and ensure that all things are done decently and in order (1Corinthians 14:40; Amos 3:3). The intending couple should also watch out for some ‘red flags’ before saying ‘I do’.

LESSON OUTLINE
1. DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE OF COURTSHIP
2. RED FLAGS TO WATCH OUT FOR

DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE OF COURTSHIP

Christian courtship is that period before marriage when an intending couple – Christian brother and sister – make plans, relate and find the middle ground on so many issues pertaining to their future together. Courtship is important and necessary for the intending couple as they use this period to lay a proper biblical foundation in order to have a fulfilled married life (1Thessalonians 5:21). One vital issue that must be addressed during this period is obtaining the consent of both parents (Genesis 24:54-59). Courtship is also a period to intentionally get to know each other better and not a time to engage in any form of sexual immorality. (1Corinthians 6:18-20; Romans 12:1-2).

Intending couples should pray, study the Bible, attend Christian programmes, etc. together but avoid hanging out in secluded and dark places (2Corinthians 2:11;1Thessalonians 5:22). Discussion should cover their dreams, vision, purpose for living, plans, fears, health status/history and past relationships (if any). They should endeavour to discover each other’s strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, differences (upbringing/orientation, cultural background), etc. through observation and by asking questions. Intending couples should be open and sincere with each other in all aspects of their dealings (financial status, sources of income, etc). There should be no pretence (stage management of character). It is also also expedient to go undertake marriage counselling lessons together during courtship (Proverbs 11:14).

RED FLAGS TO WATCH OUT FOR

There are a number of”red flags”to watch out for before entering a permanent marriage relationship. Intending couples should fervently pray for God to reveal anything that is covered by either of the engaged partners. However, some things to look out for includes irrational jealousy (Proverbs 6:34; 27:4), deception (Proverbs 24:28), the struggle to always be in control dominate the other partner (Philippians 2:3), physical or emotional abuse/violence (Isaiah 59:6), a quick temper (Proverbs 22:24-25), adherence to unscriptural traditional values (Colossians 2:8), attempts to isolate the other person from his or her friends and family (Proverbs 18:24), a show of dislike for would-be in-laws (Matthew 19:19), defiance to spiritual matters (2 Timothy 3:5), drug or alcohol abuse, smoking, disrespect for boundaries, privacy/personal space or low moral values.

If you see any of these warning signs or other strange behaviours in a person you are entering a marriage relationship with, please pray and seek advice from your spiritual leader or marriage counsellor before you say ‘I Do’ (Mark 14:38; Proverbs 15:22; 19:20). Marriage should not be entered into “at all cost”. You have your destiny to fulfil (Jeremiah 29:11). You may consider the saying that ‘ a broken courtship is better than a broken marriage’ and make a wise/informed decision (Ecclesiastes 10:10; 1Corinthians 7:15b).

CONCLUSION
Watch and pray before you say ‘I DO’

QUESTIONS
1. Discuss the importance of courtship
2. Mention some of the red flags to watch out for before you say ‘I Do’

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 3 MARCH 2024 SUNDAY: WHAT ADVICE?

MEMORISE: My son, if sinners entice thee, Consent thou not. Proverbs 1:10

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 3 MARCH 2024  READ: 1 Kings 13:11-25

[11]Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
[12]And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
[13]And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon,
[14]And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.
[15]Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.
[16]And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:
[17]For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.
[18]He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
[19]So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.
[20]And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back:
[21]And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,
[22]But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
[23]And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back.
[24]And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.
[25]And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 3 MARCH 2024 MESSAGE

Our Bible reading today explains the ordeal between an old and a young prophet. The young man had gotten instructions from God not to eat or drink in the town, but he disobeyed when the older prophet approached him and gave a contrary prophecy. This was a direct disobedience to God. This reminds me of the serpent that manipulated Eve in the Garden of Eden. It convinced her to go against God’s instruction and told her she would become like God if she disobeyed.
Often, satan presents us with an alternative to God’s instruction so that we can go out of His will and purpose for our lives. He will bring friends to tell you to enjoy your life and embrace your own desires. They will tell you that God is merciful and will not destroy you.
My dear child, you must be careful who you discuss God’s dealings or instructions with. Any advice that is against God’s word is wrong and should be immediately discarded. Don’t end up like the young prophet who eventually got killed by a lion.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 3 MARCH 2024 KEY POINT
Don’t be misguided; divine instruction is for your own good and not God’s.

QUIZ

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 3 MARCH 2024  HYMN 20 – CHRISTIAN, SEEK NOT YET REPOSE
1 Christian, seek not yet repose;
Hear thy guardian angel say,
“Thou art in the midst of foes:
Watch and pray!”

2 Principalities and powers ,
Mustering their unseen array,
Wait for thy unguarded hours:
“Watch and pray.”

3 Gird thy heavenly armour on;
Wear it every night and day
Ambush’d lies the evil one:
“Watch and pray.”

4 Hear the victors who o’ercame;
Still they mark each warrior’s way;
All with one sweet voice exclaim,
“Watch and pray!”

5 Watch, as if on that alone
Hung the issue of the day;
Pray, that help may be sent down:
Watch and pray.

6 Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
Him thou lovest to obey;
Hide within thy heart His word
“Watch and pray!”

CLASS ACTIVITY 1
The students should discuss other important activities that are expected in Christian courtship.

RED FLAGS TO WATCH OUT FOR

The teacher should allow students to mention some ‘red flags’ they identified in relationships.

A. There are a number of”red flags”to watch out for before entering a permanent marriage relationship.

B. Intending couples should fervently pray for God to reveal anything that is covered by either of the engaged partners. However, some things to look out for includes:

i. Irrational jealousy (Proverbs 6:34; 27:4).

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 2 MARCH 2024 HYMN 12 – Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty
1. Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning
Our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy!
Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons,
Blessed Trinity!

2 Holy, holy, holy!
All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns
Around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim,
Falling down before Thee,
Which went and art
And evermore shalt be.

3 Holy, holy, holy!
Though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man
Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy,
There is none beside Thee,
Perfect in pow’r, in love,
And purity.

4 Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise
Thy name, in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, Holy, Holy!
Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons,
Blessed Trinity!

OPEN HEAVEN 2 MARCH 2024 SATURDAY

OPEN HEAVEN 2 MARCH 2024 MEMORIZE: But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exodus 17:12

OPEN HEAVEN 2 MARCH 2024 BIBLE READING Exodus 4:10-16

10 And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

11 And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?

12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

13 And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.

14 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.

15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.

16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.

OPEN HEAVEN 2 MARCH 2024 MESSAGE

For everyone who becomes great, there is always at least one person God provides to be his or her ‘right-hand man’

For example, in Exodus 4:10-16, when Moses told God that he could not go to Egypt because he couldn’t speak well, God appointed Aaron to assist him.

In Exodus 17:8-13, when the Amalekites came to attack Israel, Moses went to the mountaintop with Aaron and Hur and told Joshua to lead the army in the valley below.

Moses lifted up his hands and Israel prevailed, but when his hands got tired, Aaron and Hur gave him a rock to sit on and held up his hands.

In the meantime, Joshua was in the valley below fighting. All these people were right-hand men to Moses.

We find another example in Genesis 24. Abraham called his lead servant and asked him to get a wife for His son amongst his (Abraham’s) people.

That lead servant was Abraham’s right-hand man in this case.

I should, however, also note that the term is genderless, as a woman can also be a ‘right-hand man’ to another woman.

The right-hand man is someone who is close enough to his or her leader to know what the latter needs at every moment, and be proactive in providing it.

You should also identify your right-hand man if you haven’t.

Your right-hand man can say what you cannot say yourself or might have a way of presenting the matter that will effectively pass on your intended message.

He or she can be the lifter of your hands, the one who will help you when your hands go weary.

Such a person is the one who can provide you with something to sit upon when you are tired; someone who can make you comfortable even at his or her own discomfort.

Like Joshua, he or she is the one who can fight your battles even when you are not there.

Your real right-hand man is one who, despite your closeness, will never take you for granted because of familiarity.

Your right-hand man is one who will see your weaknesses and not use them against you or go around telling others about them; he or she will rather cover them as Aaron and Hur did for Moses.

Your right-hand man is one to whom you can entrust things and be sure that they will do it as you want it done.

Note that God may have you serve as a right-hand man to someone as well.

OPEN HEAVEN 2 MARCH 2024 REFLECTION

Pray that God should connect you to the right-hand man He has prepared for you, and also thank Him specially for adding another year to my years today.

OPEN HEAVEN 2 MARCH 2024 HYMN

RCCG HYMN 10: IN CHRIST ALONE

1 In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All,
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

2 In Christ alone, who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe.
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save:
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied –
For every sin on Him was laid;
Here in the death of Christ I live.

3 There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine –
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

4 No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand:
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.
