MESSAGE:

Jesus Christ is the bridegroom of the Church. As you read this now, (if He has not yet returned), He is in heaven making preparations for our wedding with Him.

Jesus is working hard right now, preparing your own special place in Heaven. He said in John 14:3 that when He is through with the wedding plans, He will come for us.

Why must the Bridegroom by Himself to take us to the venue of the wedding when He has several billions of angels that He can send to pick us up.

1 Timothy 6:16 says that God dwells in a light that no man can approach.

Since angels are also messengers, you can be sure that they cannot approach the light.

A man of God once said that God gave Him a glimpse of what it was like in heaven. He said the closest any angel could get to God was about 1000 miles.

Yet from that distance, the angel had to cover his face with two of his wings, or else he could lose his eyes.

If angels were to take you to God, they will drop you 1000 miles before they get to the destination.

The angels are holy, yet they cannot go close to God. Every sin in your life keeps you in multiples of 1000 miles from God.

You need to ask yourself, with your current lifestyle are you among those that the Bridegroom is preparing to bring to the Father.

If your answer is no, then make amends immediately before He arrives.

REFLECTION:
Jesus is preparing a wedding ceremony for His brides. Are you one of them?

3. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

OPEN HEAVEN 18 MARCH 2020 MESSAGE

The Holy Spirit can move massively, so massively that you would even think there is a storm.

In Exodus 14:21, when Moses lifted his hand across the Red Sea/the Bible says the east wind blew all night, massively, until the Red Sea parted. Moses described it thus in Exodus 15:8:

And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

Now, while the speedy move of the Holy Spirit within a man is to work miracles, the massive move of the Holy Spirit is to birth an unusual passion for the things of God such that you would bear and do anything for the sake of the gospel.

When the massive wind hit the Red Sea, the water received unusual strength such that the floods stood upright as a heap.

When a timid person like Peter preached to thousands of people such that three thousand people surrendered their lives to Christ, you know the wind of Holy Spirit has moved massively.

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.– Acts 5:29

This was Peter – the formerly timid Peter, speaking boldly to the rulers of the city.

Something within him – a force that was pushing him to do whatever was required for God, had strengthened him greatly.

Oh, how I wish Christians of today could catch this fire! Christians today are too careful for their lives.

No one wants to go on missionary trips again, no one is willing to take the gospel to war-torn areas where it is really needed; we prefer to stay in our comfort zones and talk about Jesus from there.

Many of us these days cannot preach the gospel in the face of the slightest opposition, allowing and even partaking of atrocities because we are afraid of what people will say if we oppose them.

God has not given us the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).

And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;

Father, I worship and honour Your majesty this new week and always, in the name of Jesus

Father, thank You for the grace of life and privilege to be among the living

Ancient of days, thank You for the forgiveness of sin and Your blood shed for my salvation

King of kings, thank You for the fresh oil poured into my life this day

Father, by Your might and power cancel every evil report concerning me and my household, in Jesus’ name

Holy spirit, lead me in all that I do guide my thoughts daily and let my utterance glorify You, in the name of Jesus

Ancient of days, erase the power of negative energy in and around my life and household, in Jesus’ name

OPEN HEAVEN 17 MARCH 2020 READ: EXODUS 14:21-28 (KJV)

21. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

22. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

23. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

24. And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,

The Holy Spirit can blow like a mighty rushing wind as recorded in Acts 2:1-4.

Occasionally, the Holy Spirit has to move speedily to intervene, especially when things are about to get out of hand, just as in Judges 15:14:

And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him/and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

When an urgent miracle is needed, the Holy Spirit moves speedily.

Whenever you need the Holy Spirit to move speedily, speak His language.

As you build momentum speaking in tongues, the wind of the Holy Spirit and His power will begin to build up within you.

When you have felt the wind and power strongly within you, let it out by speaking a word into that situation and you will see changes.

However, do not wait for a dangerous situation before you begin to call upon the Holy Spirit to move speedily.

Many times when challenges come, they don’t give enough time for speaking in tongues.

Make speaking in tongues a lifestyle. Speak in tongues for at least one hour every day.

Build up the wind of the Holy Spirit in your inner man so frequently and fervently that every word that comes out of your mouth is fire.

When a man of God speaks to situations in public and things begin to change, that man must have spent time building up the wind of the Holy Spirit in himself privately.

When you have the mighty rushing wind of the Holy Spirit within you, every decree you make is accomplished speedily.

Make speaking in tongues a lifestyle. It is a pathetic thing to be called a child of the most powerful being in the world and not have any power.

Every night when I go out on prayer walks, I am building the wind of the Holy Spirit within me by speaking in tongues for hours.

Start today, the Holy Spirit will take over and make it your lifestyle.

INTRODUCTION

Marriage is a sacred vow between a man a woman publicly acknowledged, permanently sealed and physically consummated.

Bliss in marriage means having spiritual, physical and emotional Joy in your marriage.

Therefore, marriage must be based on agreement -Amos 3:3, nurtured with love continuously.

It also requires adjustments and sacrifices by both the husband and wife (Colossians 3:18-19).

FOUNDATION FOR MARITAL BLISS

Marriage is like a beautiful garden. We fall in love, get married, have children and raise family.

The following foundations are required for a blissful marriage:

1. TRUTHFULNESS TO THE MARRIAGE VOW: Play your part in your marriage irrespective of the fact that your spouse plays his/her part (Eccl. 5:4-6)

2. THE WISDOM OF GOD: The wisdom for blissful relationship in marriage comes from God Proverbs 4:5-6)

3. FORGIVENESS: The need to practice advance forgiveness and be kind to one another is Paramount (Luke 17:3-4).

4. ROMANCE AND INTIMACY: These bind the love (Proverbs 5:15-20; 1John 3:18).

5. SETTING BOUNDARY WITH FRIENDS, in-laws and other third parties to avoid misdirection is important (Proverbs 16:28).

6. RESOLVING CONFLICTS in a healthy manner is an ingredient for a blissful marriage, because there’s no winner in any argument (Romans 12:17-18, 21).

7. FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE. That is, every spending is planned and adequately prepared for (Luke 14:28; Proverbs 18:15).

8. EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION with the use of each other’s language and listening to one another always are means for the bliss (James 1:19).

9. Appreciate your spouse from time to time and submit to one another (S. Sol. 4:1,7; Ephesians 5:21).

10. Sex matters must be handed wisely (1Corinthians 7:5).

ELEMENTS OF CONTINUOUS MARITAL BLISS

For a marriage relationship to be continuously blissful, here are some ingredients:

1. Pray more and fellowship together (Matthew 18:19; S.Sol. 2:10,13).

2. Always give glory to God, acknowledge Him for helping you so far in the journey and for further leading (1Thessalonians 5:18).

3. Train your children in God’s way to have rest of mind (Genesis 18:19; Proverbs 22:6).

4. Make your companionship unlimited (Genesis 2:24-25).

5. Making Heaven should be the ultimate goal of the couple.

CONCLUSION

A blissful relationship can take some work and sacrifices. It also requires constant attention.

If properly nurtured, it will thrive, but if neglected, it will wither and die.

OPEN HEAVEN 16 MARCH 2020 MESSAGE

The first sign of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost was that there was a sound of a mighty rushing wind that filled the upper room (Acts 2:2).

Before the apostles saw the fire, they heard the sound of the wind. In Genesis 2:7, the Bible tells us that when God formed man, He breathed life into him.

From the innermost being of the Almighty God came a little bit of wind that went into a lump of clay to make it into a living soul. Ecclesiastes 12:7 says:

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

What God breathed into the dust that turned it into a living soul was the spirit.

We can see therefore that there is a link between the Holy Spirit and the wind.

The Spirit can blow gently like a breeze. In Judges 13:24-25, the Bible talks about how the Spirit began to move Samson at times.

Samson was growing up and the Spirit, in form of a breeze was moving him, shaking him a little.

Occasionally, when someone is experiencing the Holy Spirit for the first time, he may find himself shaking just a little; not violently or convulsing as in when manifesting demonic possession, but just shaking a little bit.

That is the Holy Spirit moving like a breeze. Sometimes, when worshipping God – alone or even in a congregation, when the Holy Spirit takes over, a little shaking may be experienced; that is the Holy Spirit moving as a breeze.

You need to be sensitive at times like that so the Holy Spirit can do His complete work in your life.

On the day of Pentecost, the wind came into the room and filled the whole place.

In Genesis 1:1-2, when God made the Heaven and the earth, and the earth was void and without form, the Spirit moved over the whole earth.

This tells you that when the Holy Spirit is moving during the service, it is not the time to begin to look around; but to be in and be moved by the Spirit.

Key into the manifestation of the Holy Spirit during private or corporate worship and trust Him to work wonders in your life.

2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the Lord thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the Lord thy God, in transgressing his covenant,

Chapter 18

3 And this shall be the priest’s due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.

Chapter 19

1 When the Lord thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the Lord thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;

2 Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.

3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.

4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;

5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:

6 Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.

7 Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.

8 And if the Lord thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;

9 If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the Lord thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

10 That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

11 But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:

12 Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

13 Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.

14 Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour’s landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.

15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

16 If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong;

17 Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days;

18 And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother;

19 Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.

20 And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you.

21 And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

Chapter 20

1 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

2 And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,

3 And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;

4 For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

5 And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.

6 And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.

7 And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.

8 And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren’s heart faint as well as his heart.

9 And it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people.

10 When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.

11 And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.

12 And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it:

13 And when the Lord thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:

14 But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the Lord thy God hath given thee.

15 Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.

16 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:

17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:

18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the Lord your God.

19 When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man’s life) to employ them in the siege:

20 Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it be subdued.
