[18]For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

[19]because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

[20]For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

[21]because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

INTRODUCTION: Reprobacy is the state or character of being a reprobate. A reprobate is an unprincipled or depraved person. The Greek word translated “reprobate” in the New Testament is ‘adokimos,’ which literally means “unapproved, i.e. rejected; by implication, worthless.” It is that which is rejected on account of its own worthlessness (Jer.6:30). Many people have wondered if at this point a person may be beyond hope. It is imperative, therefore, for believers to study the nature and dangers of reprobacy.

1. THE NATURE OF REPROBATES
There are some pointers to knowing someone that can be referred to as a reprobate. Such persons usually have the desire to suppress the truth with wickedness (Rom.1:18; 2Tim.3:8). They wilfully reject God in their imaginations and actions (Rom.1:21; Tit.1:16). People with reprobate minds choose to worship the creature rather than the Creator (Rom.1:23-25; Jer.10:14). They commit all manner of sins and have no limits or restrictions on sinful behaviours (Rom.1:29-31; Eph.5:3). Reprobates do not only hold onto and continue in their wicked behaviours, they encourage and celebrate others who imitate them (Rom.1:32; Ps.50:18). Those with reprobate minds do not have the Spirit of God and live only for themselves (Tit.1:16).

The Bible warns against reprobacy because it leads to a point where God withdraws His longsuffering to save but gives them over to a degenerated mind (2Pet.3:9; Rom.1:28) to:
1. Face the wrath of God (Rom.1:18).

2. Become unclean and dishonour their bodies between themselves (Rom.1:24).

3. Practice vile affections e.g. homosexuality, bestiality, etc. (Rom.1:26).

4. Do those things which are not convenient (Rom.1:28).

5. Be filled with all unrighteousness (Rom.1:29-31).

6. Ignore impending judgment and continue in sin (Rom.1:32).
Nevertheless, there is no heart or mind that God cannot change if that person approaches Him in genuine repentance (Isa.1:18; Jn.6:37). People toing the path of reprobacy should repent and turn to God for mercy because there is grace and hope for them (Ps.51:17; Isa.55:7; Rom.10:13).

CLASS ACTIVITY 2: Why are there so many reprobates around us?

CONCLUSION: Be careful to guard your mind and avoid the gradual drifting, shifting and twisting of thought that moves people towards reprobacy (Rom.12:1-2).

1. THE NATURE OF REPROBATES
The teacher should identify the nature of reprobates as indicated below:
i. They desire to suppress the truth with wickedness. Rom. 1:18.

ii. They deliberately reject God in their imaginations and actions. Rom. 1:21, Titus 1:16.

iii. They worship the creature rather than the Creator. Rom. 1:23-25, Jer. 10:14.

iv. They commit all manner of sins and have no limits or restrictions on sinful behaviours. Rom. 1:29-31; Eph. 5:3.

v. They are wicked and encourage people to join their wicked ways. Rom. 1:32; Psalm 50:18.
vi. They are guided by the flesh and do not possess the Holy Spirit. Titus 1:16.

A. The Almighty God warns His children against drifting into reprobacy. 2 Pet. 3:9; Rom. 1:28.

B. The teacher should identify the dangers of becoming a reprobate as indicated below:
i. Reprobates will face the wrath of God. Rom. 1:18.

ii. They become unclean and dishonour their bodies between themselves. Rom. 1:24

iii. They practice vile affections e.g. homosexuality, bestiality, etc. Rom. 1:26.

iv. They do those things which are not convenient. Rom. 1:28.

v. Reprobates are filled with all unrighteousness. Rom. 1:29-31.

vi. They ignore impending judgment and continue in sin. Rom. 1:32.

C. Question: Is there hope for a reprobate?
Answer: Yes, but based on the following conditions:
i. The reprobate should genuinely return to God who is willing to accept him/her. Isa. 1:18; John 6:37.

ii. They should repent of their sins. Luke 13:5, 2Pet. 3:9.

iii. They should ask God for mercy. Psalm 51:1; 51:17; Isa. 55:7; Rom. 10:13.

Let’s Declare!

I declare that my help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth

He will not suffer my foot to be moved: He that keepeth me will not slumber.

Behold, He that keeps my family and I shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is our keeper: the Lord is our shade upon our right hand.

The sun shall not smite us by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve us from all evil: He shall preserve our soul.

The Lord shall preserve our going out and coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

I decree concerning this nation and nations around the world, divine help of God is our portion this time and always in Jesus name

I decree and declare that my help does not come from the east, west, north or south. My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth in Jesus name.

I decree and declare that in my life, family and all my endeavors, I receive divine help. I enjoy the intervention of God to get a me to places I am trying to reach in the name of Jesus.

I decree and declare over every challenging matter and issue confronting me; help is already on its way, in Jesus’ name.

I commit this nation and nations of the world into the hands of God and I decree healing upon the land, restoration where needed and revival of souls in Jesus name.

I decree and declare that I take my place in prayer, Bible study, and holy living, and I enjoy the victory that Christ Jesus won for me in the name of Jesus!

I declare and effect my victory in Christ Jesus over the devil, challenges, and unpalatable circumstances by my submission to the Lord Jesus Christ in Jesus name.

I declare that I Submit myself to God. I resist the devil, and he flees from me in the name of Jesus.

I declare that I am under the authority of the Almighty where no power of evil can reach me in the name of Jesus.

Let’s Pray!

Heavenly King of Glory, I worship and adore You this morning for You are God all by Yourself. Ancient of days, most gracious God, I bless You.
There is no one like You and there never will be anyone big enough to be compared to You. Be Glorified in our life, families, and nation in Jesus Name.

Lord of Host, I come before You this morning, seeking forgiveness for my sins. Your Word says if I humble myself and turn from my wicked ways, You’ll hear from heaven and forgive me. Father please forgive me in Jesus name.

Father, please help me to fear and trust You, believing that You alone have unlimited power to help me in Jesus name.

Lord, I am the righteousness in Christ Jesus therefore my help is of You. Please deliver me from the wicked because I trust You in Jesus name.

Father, please help me to keep Your law and statutes. As I do so, save me from every evil in Jesus name.

Lord, every time I call upon You for help, please don’t leave me alone. I have no other gods before You. I look up to no one else but You.

Father, please send help to me today, in Jesus’ name.

Oh Lord, keep my family and I from evil in the name of Jesus!

Father, as I set out today, be with me. You have promised never to leave me. May Your presence be with me always in Jesus name.

Lord, let me experience victory in all areas of my life starting from now in the name of Jesus.

Oh Lord! You are the helper of the helpless, the One who makes a way in impossible situations. Provide divine help for me this day in the name of Jesus!

Father, please send me timely and accurate help in every area that I need help in Jesus name.

My Lord and my God, over this issue (mention), let help come for me today in the name of Jesus!

Lord, You are the Reverser of the irreversible, even for matters that seen too late already, please reverse time for my sake in the name of Jesus.

Father, even if You have to reverse time so that You can help me , just help me in this season, in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, do not let the devil and his agents have dominion over me. Destroy their works now and in future in the name of Jesus!

Oh Lord, recharge and renew me from the inside. Do not let my health deteriorate as I work in Jesus name.

Lord, as I expend my tank of knowledge, anointing, energy and other graces, grant me the wisdom to refill my tank in Jesus name.

My Lord and my God, let Your Angel of destruction visit the camp of the wicked who are tormenting Your children and spilling their blood in the Name of Jesus!

Oh Lord of Host, let every enemy of the Gospel and every violent person that spills blood be brought to their end now in the Name of Jesus!

Oh Lord, let Your judgement visit the camp of the wicked and let them begin to fight themselves until they’re brought to their end in the mighty name of Jesus!

Heavenly Father, destroy the craftiness of the wicked ones and frustrate their plans in the Name of Jesus!

Father, protect me and my family from the evil ravaging the world. Let everywhere we step into be a land of Goshen (safety) for us in the name of Jesus.

Lord, bless Your son Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye for all his years of continual service, remember him, guide him on the path, help him remain focused, and bless his entire household, in Jesus’ name.

Father, bless everyone dedicating their time to pray through these prayers at the point of their needs. Give them the grace to share/rebroadcast, in Jesus’ name.

INTRODUCTION: Sin and disobedience to God’s commandment keeps one in darkness and in chains. As we confess and repent of all our sins of disobedience and unfaithfulness, God will show us mercy in Jesus Name.

PRAYER POINTS:

There are many people who have moved from one year to another carrying the same problems, frustration and struggles. They go about with burdens too big for their shoulders, forgetting Peter’s admonition in 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him: for he careth for you.” Having the assurance that God cares for me is enough to make me wake up each day believing that my tomorrow will be alright.

You need to understand that when God says that He cares for you, it doesn’t matter what anyone says about your present condition or how you are treated, what God says is final.

I remember when a mate that I often played with in our village said that I would never become anything in life. Today, to the glory of God, I am who God says I am.

One of the surest ways to walk in joy is by Spending time with God because there is joy in the presence of God. Psalm 16:11 says: “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy, at thy right hand there are pleasures forever more”

MEMORY VERSE: “Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith.” 2 Timothy 3:8 (NKJV).

INTRODUCTION: Reprobacy is the state or character of being a reprobate. A reprobate is an unprincipled or depraved person. The Greek word translated “reprobate” in the New Testament is ‘adokimos,’ which literally means “unapproved, i.e. rejected; by implication, worthless.” It is that which is rejected on account of its own worthlessness (Jer.6:30). Many people have wondered if at this point a person may be beyond hope. It is imperative, therefore, for believers to study the nature and dangers of reprobacy.

1. THE NATURE OF REPROBATES
There are some pointers to knowing someone that can be referred to as a reprobate. Such persons usually have the desire to suppress the truth with wickedness (Rom.1:18; 2Tim.3:8). They wilfully reject God in their imaginations and actions (Rom.1:21; Tit.1:16). People with reprobate minds choose to worship the creature rather than the Creator (Rom.1:23-25; Jer.10:14). They commit all manner of sins and have no limits or restrictions on sinful behaviours (Rom.1:29-31; Eph.5:3). Reprobates do not only hold onto and continue in their wicked behaviours, they encourage and celebrate others who imitate them (Rom.1:32; Ps.50:18). Those with reprobate minds do not have the Spirit of God and live only for themselves (Tit.1:16).

2. DANGERS OF REPROBACY
The Bible warns against reprobacy because it leads to a point where God withdraws His longsuffering to save but gives them over to a degenerated mind (2Pet.3:9; Rom.1:28) to:
1. Face the wrath of God (Rom.1:18).

2. Become unclean and dishonour their bodies between themselves (Rom.1:24).

3. Practice vile affections e.g. homosexuality, bestiality, etc. (Rom.1:26).

4. Do those things which are not convenient (Rom.1:28).

5. Be filled with all unrighteousness (Rom.1:29-31).

6. Ignore impending judgment and continue in sin (Rom.1:32).
Nevertheless, there is no heart or mind that God cannot change if that person approaches Him in genuine repentance (Isa.1:18; Jn.6:37). People toing the path of reprobacy should repent and turn to God for mercy because there is grace and hope for them (Ps.51:17; Isa.55:7; Rom.10:13).

CLASS ACTIVITY 2: Why are there so many reprobates around us?

CONCLUSION: Be careful to guard your mind and avoid the gradual drifting, shifting and twisting of thought that moves people towards reprobacy (Rom.12:1-2).

Thank you Lord for infusing me with strength and enabling me to accomplish all that I am called to do. I acknowledge that You are the ultimate source of my strength and I depend on You completely in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare my gratitude to my Heavenly Father for His unwavering provision in my life. I acknowledge Him as my source, and I trust that He will continue to meet all my needs according to His riches in glory in Jesus’ name.

Thank You Lord for the gift of salvation. I am eternally grateful for being a part of You and experiencing Your redeeming love.
