Today’s Powerful Confession: I confess today that every challenge confronting me is only preparing me for my lifting. The mountains before me are opportunities in disguise. I am supernaturally empowered to conquer and through this victory God shows off His glory in me to the world in Jesus’ name, Amen. Hallelujah!

Father, I come before You today, praising You because You are Lord. May Your name be praised forever in Jesus name.

Father, today I ask forgiveness of all the negative and harmful words I have spoken or things I have done. Forgive me Lord in Jesus name.

Father Lord, Thank You for Your unfailing love for me, Your blessings, and goodness. Thank You for Your faithfulness to guide me and see me through times of uncertainty, for lifting me up, and setting me on high. C. LESSON INTRODUCTION: God gave to man the ability to reproduce himself, to gave birth to children. God instead of creating the whole human race by a single word, created one man and one woman and said to them, “I permit you to give birth to my children, to rear, educate, and care for them, teaching them to love me and to respond to my heart yearning.” So, man’s real business was to give birth to God’s children both physically and spirituality through SOUL WINNING.
God also gave His children ability to prosper according to 3 John 1:2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. This gives a responsibility to man that can only be measured by eternity.

HOW TO BE MULTIPLY AND FRUITFUL

1. Totally obedience to God’s word. Gen. 26:12-13, Deut. 8:18.

Some people wonder why good things don’t happen to them. Instead of examining themselves first, they blame others. You should not expect good when all you do to others is evil.

You cannot bribe your way out of the law of harvest nor pray your way out of it: you will reap whatever you sow. Sowing is whatever you do in this world: good, evil, iniquity, kindness, love, lying, stealing, et cetera, and challenges, then will be done to you as well.

As children of God, the only way to be rewarded with crowns and stars is when we preach Christ to others and win souls for the kingdom. It is your duty as a Christian to tell others about Christ. The more people you win to Christ, the more blessings you reap. So, I implore you to sow good deeds so that you can reap blessings.

OPEN HEAVEN 26 MARCH 2023 MESSAGE

Many a time when God allows a mountain to stand in your way, it is because He wants to showcase you to the world. He uses your victory over the mountain to show the world His investments in your life. In (1 Samuel 17:151), when Goliath was marching up and down, terrorising the nation of Israel, God was advertising the mountain so that everyone would see how big it was.

At the time Goliath was boasting, nobody knew David yet. Nobody knew that anointing had already come on a little boy from an ordinary home; nobody knew that there was a teenage boy who had killed a lion and a bear with his bare hands. God was about to present him to the whole world. Thank God David did not run away from his mountain that day because by the time he was standing on Goliath’s dead body, lifting his severed head, everybody knew he was someone special.

I pray God will use the mountain before you as an opportunity to showcase His glory upon your life to the whole world in Jesus’ name.

Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”. God derives glory when His children shine their lights and displace darkness brought about by mountains.

When there is a problem in your office, it may be the opportunity God has designed to showcase you in that office or industry. When there is a crisis in your family, that could be God’s arrangement to show everyone in the family that He has an anointed child in their midst and to draw them to Himself. Don’t shy away from the problem, face it and solve it.

From our Bible reading today, we saw Joseph was already interpreting dreams as a prisoner before he got the opportunity to interpret the king’s dream, which led to God showcasing him to the whole world.

You must diligently and consistently develop yourself so that the day God decides to showcase you to the world; you will be prepared and equipped to overcome the mountain by His grace.

INTRODUCTION: The life of the Christian is a constant battle between our sinful nature and our new nature in Christ (Gal. 5:17). Sometimes, it may feel like we are trapped in a desire to reach for the sinful thing rather than the godly things. This dies not always have to be the case. We can overcome the flesh.

1. CHOOSE TO BEAR THE FRUIT
A. Now that we are in Christ:
i. we have the power to conquer the sinful desire of the flesh (2Cor. 5:17; Rom. 8:37).

ii. The very presence of the Holy Spirit in our hearts means we can now choose godliness over sinfulness (Philip. 1:22).

iii. The choice is 100% OURS (Deut. 30:19).

iv. We are no longer a slave to our sinful nature (Rom. 6:14, 18).

v. We can choose love over hate, patience over hostile frustration, faithfulness over disloyalty, self-control over lustful desires…etc.

vi.This is the beauty of having the Holy Spirit- He gives us the POWER to fight (Philip. 2:13; 4:13).

B. All we must do to tap into that power is to practice obedience to God’s word and his direction (John. 15:4, 10, 14; Col. 3:16; Ps. 1:2-3).

2. WORK AT IT
A. Teacher should ask the students if it is possible to have all the components of the fruit of the Spirit.

Answer: Some Christians have asked if it is possible to produce all the components to the fruit of the spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This seems like a lot to work on.
i. First, We should remember that God will not give us a load we cannot bear (Matt. 11:29-30).

ii. Second, the ‘yoke’ of bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit is not just possible, it is mandatory (Luke 1:37; Matt. 5:48).

B. However, since the enemies of our Salvation – the devil and the flesh – will not give up easily on us, we are bound to face the temptation of yielding to occasionally (1Peter 5:8-10). Therefore, we must:
i. Continue to work at attaining perfection (Philip. 2:12),

ii. Surrender totally to the dictates of the Holy spirit

iii. Resist the devil (James 4:7).

iv. Make no provision for the flesh (Rom. 13:14).

v. Keep working at bearing all the components of the fruit of the spirit; it is possible (Philip. 4:13).

vi. We must on daily basis, take steps to nurture our relationship with Jesus so that we can grow to look more like him in his manner, attitude and actions (HEB. 12:2; Philip 2:5).

CLASS ACTIVITY 2: Is it possible for someone who has just surrendered his/her life to Christ to possess all the components of the fruit of the Spirit?

CONCLUSION: Though we may struggle and fail, we will surely conquer the flesh and bear the fruit of the holy spirit. We ought to daily strive for, work for, and yearn for the fruit of the spirit

CLOSING PRAYER: Heavenly Father, please let Your Holy Spirit constantly dwell in me so I can find it easy to manifest Your fruit.

ASSIGNMENT: Student should mention five (5) dangers a believers is prone to when he/she does not manifest the fruit of the spirit (2×5=10Marks).

INTRODUCTION: The life of the Christian is a constant battle between our sinful nature and our new nature in Christ (Gal. 5:17). Unfortunately, just because we have accepted Christ does not mean we are automatically immune to sinful temptations (Rom. 7:14-25). One trait of a sluggard is they are easily discouraged; and one with such a trait will get nothing done. People like that usually never graduate from school because they quit easily. They are referred to as quitters. To make it in life, you must be prepared to face diverse challenges. Oppositions will surely come, be ready to face and overcome them. Sometimes slothfulness is the cause of failure: it is not spiritual.

Every believer is bound to face diverse challenges, but it is the expected result that keeps them going. My beloved children, if you are not performing excellently, take extra hours to study the subjects that you find difficult.

Don’t be discouraged and give in to failure.
I have read of teenagers who get discouraged easily and then attempt to commit suicide. No problem whatsoever should ever make you think of suicide because it is not the way out. Learn from David, who encouraged himself in the Lord even when no one did (1 Samuel 30:6).
