OPEN HEAVEN 15 MARCH 2023 MESSAGE

Whenever God wants to do something special, His word takes up the form of a traveller and goes to the place where healing is needed. Psalm 107:20 says: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

At one point or the other, you will need the intervention of God over a matter; in that period, God can send His word on an errand to help you. My prayer is that God will never withhold His word from coming to you. When His word comes to you, it means a solution has come to your problems.

One of the special things that the word travels to do is to bring about healing. God created all the parts of your body. If you discover that any part of your body is not functioning as it should, cry to Him and He will send His word to heal it or install a spare part if the damage is beyond repair. That is what happened in our Bible reading for today when the Centurion’s servant was ill and he told Jesus to only speak the word and his servant would be healed.

And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. – (Luke 5:17).

In the Bible passage above, as Jesus was Sharing the word, the power of God was present to heal the sick.

I used to lay hands on all the sick people at our programmes, but then, Luke 5:17 showed me that the healing can be going on simultaneously with the sermon. Now, even as I preach, God heals the sick. This is why I pity those who get carried away during the sermon; you are missing out on a lot more than you know.

Put all your faith in the Word of God today, and you will receive divine healing in Jesus’ name.

Jesus Christ, the Word of God Himself read the reason for which He travelled all the way from heaven to earth, that is, His mission statement, in Luke 4:18-19: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

God sees when your heart is broken, and to mend your heart, He sends His word.

Many years ago, there was a boy I loved so much because he was very committed to God in evangelism. During his National Youth Service Corp year however, this boy died. His fellow Youth Corpers came together to pray for him, but then he came back to life, sat up and told them, “God asked me to come and tell you that you are disturbing Him; stop praying” and he died again.

When I heard the news, I was really heartbroken. As a Pastor, I had to put up a bold front to everyone, but throughout that period, whenever I got back home, I would cry. I was really heartbroken.

One day, however, God sent His Word to me, saying, “My son, why are you so sad” I responded, “It is because of the death of this boy”. The Word came again, saying “No, that is not really why you are sad. You are sad because you and the boy are apart; now he is in heaven and you are still here on earth”. I said, “That is true”. The Lord then said, “If you are going to a far country that you have never been to, won’t you be happy to have someone you know go ahead of you so that when you arrive, there would be someone waiting to welcome you?” I said, “Yes”. The Lord then concluded thus: “Your boy has only gone ahead of you; when it is time for you to arrive, he will be waiting to give you a warm welcome”.

When you are heartbroken, don’t look to social media, movies, drugs, alcohol or friends to make you feel better; the real mender of broken hearts is the word of God. His word can come to you through a sermon, Bible study, or directly from the Holy Spirit.

The parable of the pearl of great price likens the kingdom of Heaven to a merchant who woe trying to find pearls of good quality to buy. When he finally found a very good and beautiful pearl, it was expensive Instead of giving up his quest, he went and sold everything he had and then went back to buy that valuable pearl.

This was what Jesus did on the cross of Calvary when He reconciled us to the Father through the blood He shed. Just like He put us first, we must always put Him and everything about His kingdom first. The Bible says in Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.

One of the ways to seek God’s kingdom is by winning more souls into it. Just like Christ, you must have a burden to preach to unbelievers, and follow up and intercede for them so that they can become converted, You should sacrifice your comfort to reach the unreached.

When you read the Word’s mission statement in Luke 4:18-19, you will see that He came to preach deliverance to the captives. In other words, the Word – Jesus Christ, is the deliverer of captives. In Mark 5:1-15, God sent the Word to the Gadarenes for just one assignment: to deliver a man that had been possessed by demons.

Wherever God’s word enters, light enters that place too and darkness vanishes. Psalm 119:130 says, “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Every form of darkness in your life will vanish as you read the word in this devotional, in Jesus’ name.

In Daniel 5:5-30, when Belshazzar was being consumed by pride, God sent His word as a dream to deliver him from the pride of his heart. Unfortunately, he did not listen, so he eventually suffered the consequences of pride by being killed that same night.

Many a time, Christians begin to engage in something that can destroy them. When God decides to save them from that destruction, He sends the word to them. God’s word may come through a sermon, a godly friend, the Bible or even directly from the Holy Spirit.

When that word comes, if the fellow is wise, he would desist from whatever God is trying to save him from.

I know numerous people who got a word from God that could have delivered them from their destructions but did not listen and were eventually destroyed. Don’t let that be your case.

Has the Lord been warning you to desist from a particular sin? Has He given you some instructions you are yet to heed? Have you been rejecting the call to surrender your life to Jesus Christ? Beloved, heeding God’s word brings salvation and disobeying Him leads to destruction. Choose wisely.

The mustard seed is one of the smallest and tiniest of all seeds, but it usually grows into a mighty tree where birds build their nests to live. The lesson from this parable is big things can happen as a result of a very small thing. For example, only about 120 converts were in the early Church at the upper room in the book of Acts, but today, we have over 20 million Christians around the globe.

Similarly, another thing that grows is faith. As a child of God, you must put your little faith to use so that it can become bigger. I remember when I was a new convert who was believing God to use me to heal others, I experimented with my children. Whenever they had a headache, I would pray for them and ask that the sickness would never return, even though I had a pack of pain relievers hidden somewhere in case the prayer failed.

Thankfully, God honoured that little faith. Today, I believe Him for big miracles and He has never failed me. Let your faith grow by putting it to use

Today’s Powerful Confession: I confess today that I am a property of Jesus Christ; I am bought by the price of His precious shed-blood. He is my Lord, my only Savior; The tender mercies of God is the crown that adorns my head. I stand in my inheritance in Christ and declare that my life is preserved, protected, and hidden in Christ. There is absolutely no power of Satan over me that can stand in Jesus’ name, Amen. Hallelujah!

DAILY DECLARATION

I decree and declare that because I am a child of God, even when walking in the valley of the shadow of death, I have nothing to fear because the Lord of hosts is with me in Jesus name.

I decree and declare that I have been bought with a price: therefore I glorify God in my body, and in my spirit, which are God’s.

I decree and declare that I know and am filled with the Jesus Christ, the word of God in increasing measures everyday. I know the Word and I am filled with Him, therefore nothing is impossible unto me in the name of Jesus.

I declare that every seed sown as a result of evil word, diagnosis or prognosis said concerning me is totally uprooted, in the name of Jesus

I decree and declare, my going out and coming in throughout this year and beyond is secured by the blood of the Lamb.

I decree and declare, that contract, that Business idea, that academic advancement, that career upliftment, that new house, that new car, that bouncing baby, that dream is coming before this month ends, in Jesus’ name

My life is shielded under the power of the almighty, my destiny is overflowing with divine ability in this month, in Jesus’ name

I will not suffer any loss physically or spiritually this new month. My destiny is forever hidden in the secret place of the Most High and I abide under the shadow of almighty

My testimony is forever permanent, weeping or gnashing of teeth is not my portion this year, in Jesus’ name

I decree in my household and community every evil disease from the pit of hell will not stand this month, in Jesus mighty name

I cancel every word and decrees of death causing panic, fear and dismay in and around me right now, in Jesus’ name

I terminate every unwanted attack from the pit of hell concerning my household and I in Jesus name

I decree every evil captivity that wants to keep me bound to fear, sickness, infiltration of disease of any type is permanently destroyed in Jesus name

I decree everything working against divine plans of God for me is permanently disgraced and halted in Jesus name

Father as it’s evident that we are in the end of times keep us from any wrath perpetrated from the kingdom of darkness to dwindle our faith in Jesus name

Father let Your name break the strings and chain of any virus from nation to nation and the world at large in Jesus name.

I decree my steps are ordered by the lord in this month and forever, I will not be at the wrong place at the wrong time in Jesus name.

Thank You Father for your son Pastor E. A Adeboye, and how You keep using him worldwide. Lord may Your grace be multiplied to him and may You cause an increase to every seed You have planted through him. Lord of peace, may You grant him and his family peace at all times and in every way (2 Thess. 3:16). May You equip him with everything good for doing Your will, and may You work in him what is pleasing to You, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. I ask You to deliver him from people who have wrong motives. I also pray that he will have joy in his ministry; and that he will always feel strong and refreshed in his spirit, soul, and body. I decree and declare may the wisdom and inspiration of the Almighty upon him never cease and the grace of God will continually dwell with him and his entire household, may they continue to enjoy Your faithfulness in the mighty name of Jesus.

I decree and declare heaven responds to these prayers and declarations as I say them and I receive answers in Jesus’ name.

Holy Spirit thank You for the intercessory team, thank You for Your power and presence in their midst, please continue to inspire the intercessory team for more prophetic declarations. Today’s Powerful Confession: I confess today that I am willing and obedient, therefore I eat the good of the land. Things begin to get better for me. I prosper and thrive in good health, even as my soul prospereth. All of God’s blessings come upon me, and overtake me, as I hearken unto the voice of the LORD my God in Jesus’ name, Amen. Hallelujah!

PRAYER POINTS

The Lord is good, and His mercies endure forever. There’s no King like our God. I exalt You today oh Lord in Jesus name.

Father I bless Your holy name. You are Omnipotent, You are great, You are Omniscient, You are good, You are Omnipresent, You are beautiful.

Father I submit to You that the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart haven’t been right by You. Forgive me and clean me up Lord.

Thank You Father for giving me Your Son as a ransom for my sins. Thank You for snatching me for the hands of eternal death.

Father, I know You made made me unique for a purpose. I submit myself to You. Nothing will stop me from fulfilling that purpose in Jesus’ name.

Lord, help me to understand that my soul is worth Your blood alone. Material possessions and wealth are not worth my soul. Jesus Christ paid the price for my soul with His blood and I will not sell it for anything in Jesus name.

Father, as I have been purchased with Your priceless blood, may nothing take my soul away from You. May I not sell myself short in the name of Jesus.

Father this year, every gift of the Holy Spirit that hasn’t found expression in me, I ask that You activate them in me. Let men see Your good works in me and glorify You in Jesus name.

Father I ask that You take away physical an spiritual blindness from my family in the name.

My Father in heaven I pray for the grace to excel in my everyday business. I pray for the grace to do well in my work place, my place of business and what I do for a living in the name of Jesus.

Father, help me to prioritize my relationship with You, understanding that You’re the greatest and most important in Jesus name.

Oh Lord help me to be a good friend and companion. Let every who walks with me be blessed and have dominion in Jesus name.

Father, let my family be blessed because of me in the name of Jesus.

Lord, let my life be impactful positively on everyone I meet in the name of Jesus.

16 Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell thee what the Lord hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.

17 And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel?

18 And the Lord sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

19 Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the Lord, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the Lord?

20 And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

21 But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God in Gilgal.

If the richest man in the world gave you $100 and then later tells you to give him the money because he needs it for something, you are likely to give him immediately because he was the one who gave you the money in the first place and you know that he can give you even much more again. This is why I am surprised when I see people who refuse to pay their tithes. The fellow who is asking you to bring 10% is the

One who gave you the 100% in the first place. He even promised you in Malachi 3:10 that if you give Him 10% of whatever He blesses you with, He will pour down a blessing so big that it would be difficult for you to contain it, yet you refuse to give Him the 10%; whose loss is it?

In Hebrews 11:17-19, the Bible says that when Abraham obeyed God by taking Isaac to the mountain to be sacrificed, it was because he got him from God in the first place and knew that if his son died, the Lord who gave Isaac to him could raise him from the dead. Abraham knew that he did not produce the boy, so offering him back to the One who produced him was not difficult. It is the same with Hannah after she had Samuel and took him back to God (1 Samuel 1:24-28).

In all the cases where God asked someone for something and the fellow obeyed, God ended up giving the fellow more than He had asked for. It is obvious then that He is not really interested in what He asked you to do, but rather in your obedience. God is very particular about obedience; if He asks you to give your car to somebody and you refuse, but bought another car for the fellow, you would have missed the mark.

He is not as interested in your sacrifices as in your obedience. (1 Samuel 15:22) says: …Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

God’s instructions are tough sometimes, but when you think about it carefully and realise that He owns everything you have, it becomes easy to obey Him. Don’t become like King Saul who forgot his origin and ended up in disgrace – the same disgrace he was trying to avoid when he disobeyed God.
