TOPIC: UNEMPLOYMENT

BIBLE TEXT(S): Deuteronomy 28:12, Proverbs 6:6-11

INTRODUCTION: Unemployment is one of the major problems we have in several nations of the world. Many students graduate from school with the hope of getting a good job but are often disappointed and frustrated. People want to work but can’t find any job. Those employed or running a business are not doing well, nothing to show that you are gainfully employed.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Let us thank God for being alive, only the living can work.

2. Lord arise deliver our people from every power wasting opportunity in their lives.

3. Oh Lord, open my eyes and show me the secrets to make wealth, in Jesus name.

4. Father, I refuse to serve those that are supposed to be serving me, in Jesus name.

5. Father, connect me to those that can lift me up, in Jesus name.

6. You raised kingmakers for Uzziah, Oh Lord, raise king makers for me and my family (children name) in Jesus name.

7. Lord let every power making it difficult for me to get a good job be disgraced out of my life, in Jesus name.

8. Father, I ask for a supernatural divine connection that is bigger than my age, my family’s name, my qualification, in Jesus name.

9. You devil, in the name of Jesus, loose your grip over my career, destiny, business, academics, qualifications in Jesus name.

10. Lord, I refuse to be disqualified when I apply for any job, in Jesus name.

11. Father, let Your favour single me out for miraculous employment, in Jesus name.

12. Holy Spirit, help me to remember all I need to know at the interviews, in Jesus name.

13. Holy Spirit, let my appearance, presentations etc., work for my favour, in Jesus name.

14. Holy Spirit, guide me to be well equipped for that good job you have to reserved for me, in Jesus name.

15. Father, as You helped Joseph in the presence of Pharaoh, help me in the presence of my employer, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS

Thank You, Father, for lifting up my head above those of my enemies, for healing me, and for the grace to be counted among the living today.

Thank You Jesus for today.

C. LESSON INTRODUCTION: If wishes were horses, beggars might ride. Wishes have never made and can never make a poor man wealthy. God is ready to bless His children but that blessing that He trusted into your hand is meant to be used for the growth of His Kingdom on earth.

BLESSING, A NECESSITY FOR THE CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM
God is ready to bless His children:
1. A genuine blessing comes from God, Hab 2:8

2. With the condition of their readiness, Isaiah 1:19

3. It is He that giveth power to get wealth, Deuteronomy 8:18

4. God can also cause our blessings to cease, 1 Chronicles 29:12, Ecclesiastes 5:18, Hosea 2:11. The Lord maketh poor and maketh rich 1 Samuel 2:7

The children of the Kingdom can provoke His blessings by:
1. Believing and trusting in God, Romans 10:10

2. Being diligent, Proverbs 22:29

3. Giving and sowing especially in the life of the needy and in the house of God, Luke 6:38, Isaiah 55:10. Abraham sowed his only son Isaac, Genesis 22:15-17

4. Showing kindness to others. Remember the good Samaritan.

It is commonly said that nothing goes for nothing. Money is meant to be spent. God has blessed you so that His work will no longer suffer any lack on the earth.

THE KINGDOM CHILDREN’S RESPONSIBILITY
The children of the kingdom are blessed in order to use their wealth for the Kingdom’s advancement, Luke 8:1-3. Like Peter who gave his boat to Jesus to use – Luke 5:3. Your car, your boat, your home as centre for house fellowship, your talents, your time, your substance etc. can be used for the King’s work. Tabitha, called Docas used her blessing to help the poor and widows, Acts 9:36-39. Let us not be weary in well doing Galatians 6:9, in the church, those that believed were together and had all things together Acts 2:44-45.

CONCLUSION: You will only be remembered for what you have done for God and when you get to heaven you shall enjoy the life of service for our master.

BIBLE PASSAGE: 1 Corinthians 6:15-20

MEMORY VERSE: “For this is the will of God, your sanctifcation: that you should abstain from sexual immorality” 1 Thessalonians 4:3 (NKJV).

INTRODUCTION: Purity is important to God and staying sexually pure before and during marriage is trendy because purity has to do with the mind and the act. The sex journey starts from the mind, no wonder Jesus says whoever looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her. Also, Hebrews 13:4 boldly declares that a marriage is honourable when the bed is undefiled. Premarital sex, lustful sexual thoughts, and any form of sexual vices are not acceptable to God because God is holy and we are His temple.

1. ILLS OF PREMARITAL SEX AND LUSTFUL THOUGHTS
To engage in premarital sex (sex before marriage) is to commit a grievous sin in God’s sight (1 Cor.10:3) and to also sin against one’s body (1 Cor.6:18). Premarital sex also comes with a sense of hatred or guilt that haunts its victims (2 Sam. 13:15). Unwanted pregnancy may result from this illicit sexual act, thus, bringing about shame and reproach to the victim and it may even result in abortion – which is murder (Ex.20:13).

Some Sexually Transmitted Infections/Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STIs/STDs), HIV/AIDS, etc. may result from this illicit act. Also, the negative emotional and psychological impacts of premarital sexual behaviour such as; a life of reqrets, loss of self-respect, depression (2Sam.13:19-20), loss of family support, substance abuse, and even suicide are some of the problems associated with illicit sexual activities.

Apart from the fact that lustful thoughts are sinful (Matt.5:28), they also help to trigger illicit sex (Mk.7:21) and defile its victims (Rom.124). In it all, the judgment of God is on those who defile themselves (1Cor.3:17). Engaging in uncontrollable lustful thought is a sign that one is not filled with the Holy Spirit as one should (1Thess. 4:3-5).

What dangers can sexual impurity cause?

2. WHY SEXUAL PURITY IS COOL
Sexual purity brings liberty from sin and produces holy vessels that are unruffled (cool) and free from self-guilt (Gal.5:1, 2 Tim.2:21). Staying pure sexually prevents emotional entanglements that may negatively affect future relationships and marriages (1 Cor.6:16). It secures one’s destiny for good (Gen.39:12; 41:38-42).

The pure in heart are blessed because they will see God (Matt.5:8). Sexual purity helps to maintain a steady relationship with God (Ps.24:3-4). It also brings about peace with God and with oneself (Rom.8:6). The fear of contracting STIs/STDs will be eliminated. Unlawful partners do not have access to your godly temple (2Cor.6:15-16). You honour God and He honours you in return (1Sam.2:30b).

Staying sexually pure is realistic when the flesh is put under subjection all the time and the Holy Spirit is in control.

MEMORY VERSE: “For this is the will of God, your sanctifcation: that you should abstain from sexual immorality” 1 Thessalonians 4:3 (NKJV).

INTRODUCTION: Purity is important to God and staying sexually pure before and during marriage is trendy because purity has to do with the mind and the act. The sex journey starts from the mind, no wonder Jesus says whoever looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her. Also, Hebrews 13:4 boldly declares that a marriage is honourable when the bed is undefiled. Premarital sex, lustful sexual thoughts, and any form of sexual vices are not acceptable to God because God is holy and we are His temple.

1. ILLS OF PREMARITAL SEX AND LUSTFUL THOUGHTS
To engage in premarital sex (sex before marriage):
1. Is to commit a grievous sin in God’s sight (1 Cor.10:3) and to also sin against one’s body (1 Cor.6:18).

2. It also comes with a sense of hatred or guilt that haunts its victims (2 Sam. 13:15).

3. Unwanted pregnancy may result from this illicit sexual act, thus, bringing about shame and reproach to the victim and it may even result in abortion – which is murder (Ex.20:13).

4. Some Sexually Transmitted Infections/Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STIs/STDs), HIV/AIDS, etc. may result from this illicit act.

5. Also, the negative emotional and psychological impacts of premarital sexual behaviour such as; a life of reqrets, loss of self-respect, depression (2Sam.13:19-20), loss of family support, substance abuse, and even suicide are some of the problems associated with illicit sexual activities.

B. Apart from the fact that lustful thoughts are sinful (Matt.5:28);
1. They also help to trigger illicit sex (Mk.7:21)
2. It defile its victims (Rom.124).
3. In it all, the judgment of God is on those who defile themselves (1Cor.3:17).
4. Engaging in uncontrollable lustful thought is a sign that one is not filled with the Holy Spirit as one should (1Thess. 4:3-5).

2. WHY SEXUAL PURITY IS COOL
1. Sexual purity brings liberty from sin and produces holy vessels that are unruffled (cool) and free from self-guilt (Gal.5:1, 2 Tim.2:21).

2. Staying pure sexually prevents emotional entanglements that may negatively affect future relationships and marriages (1 Cor.6:16).

3. It secures one’s destiny for good (Gen.39:12; 41:38-42).

4. The pure in heart are blessed because they will see God (Matt.5:8).

5. Sexual purity helps to maintain a steady relationship with God (Ps.24:3-4).

6. It also brings about peace with God and with oneself (Rom.8:6).

7. The fear of contracting STIs/STDs will be eliminated.

8. Unlawful partners do not have access to your godly temple (2Cor.6:15-16).

9. You honour God and He honours you in return (1Sam.2:30b).

CONCLUSION: Staying sexually pure is realistic when the flesh is put under subjection all the time and the Holy Spirit is in control.

Worship should not only be done when you are in a gathering of believers; it should flow from your heart at all times. There is no specific place or perfect time to worship, but it should be done in sincerity. Worshipping God requires a measure of consecration; the worshipper must live according to the principles of the Bible.

As Christians, worshipping God isa lifestyle: it is a way of praising and exalting Him. Worship brings pleasure to God, especially when it is from the right heart. Imagine how you feel when your parents surprise you with a gift you’ve longed for, a feeling deeper than that is what God has when we worship Him with the right heart.

Also, there is a reward for making God happy with your worship – His presence. Wherever God finds worship, He goes there Himself rather than send His angels. Where God is, there are blessings, joy and protection. My child, cultivate the habit of worshipping God henceforth if you want His blessings.
