OPENING PRAYER: Father, never allow me to be trapped in ungodly issues of life.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leader should ask some members to state some of their visions and their benefits as a reminder of the last lesson.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: Dancing between two opinions is a common daily occurrence in man’s life especially when his heart is not regenerated. People want to live a holy life but are not ready to pay the price. It is a staggering issue that hinders many people from catching their balance in the journey of life thereby failing to accomplish anything because of divided mind.

LESSON AIM: To make believers understand that leveraging on opinions may cause irredeemable loss of relationship with God and doom to divine assignment.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to know:
• Why people dance between two opinions.
• The dangers of dancing between two opinions.

a. Issues of life have made many to dance between following God or doing a quick fix.
b. Until people see the result of your claim of your option, they will not concur to your saying. c. Corrupted minds will request for sign before taking steps or deciding on what to do.

DANGERS OF DANCING BETWEEN TWO OPINIONS
1. Loss of divine information and divine presence – 1 Kings 13:20- 21.
2. Withdrawal of spiritual authority and grace – I Kings 13:23-26.
3. Spiritual deviation or spiritual drifting-Luke 7:18-22.
4. Loss or reduction of spiritual engagement and performance.
5. Living in fear – 1 John 4:18.
6. Walking into destruction – I Kings 13:25.

ACTIVITY: Mention biblical characters who got trapped between two opinions and the repercussion.

SUMMARY: “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24

CONCLUSION: If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light-Matthew 6:22.

Today. I will continue my teaching on how you can overcome lust. The following are crucial pitfalls to avoid:

1. Pornography: This creates unrealistic expectations and makes you dishonour God’s order of sex in marriage. Getting involved with pornography will only lead to destruction.

2. Obsession with social media: You must use social media with caution to avoid its many pitfalls. Be very careful with the duration of time you spend on social media. Also, do not engage in sensual conversations on social media so you don’t become influenced by the spirit of lust.

3. Avoid idleness: Most times, when people who have been exposed to sensual contents are idle, their minds will begin to wander sensually. Such people who are trying to overcome lust should avoid being idle because satan will try to tempt them again with lustful thoughts. Allow the Holy Spirit in your life and let Him fill your heart such that there will be no space for sensual thoughts. .

4 Prayerlessness: You must be prayerful. I encourage you to pray about your thoughts, worries, hopes, and dreams consistently. Talk to God about your feelings, and He will help and deliver you because He made you and He knows you.

INTRODUCTION
You are here on earth for a special purpose. You are specially designed by God to fulfill a purpose. You are not designed to live an ordinary life or to be a victim of circumstances. Destiny is God’s purpose for your life which can be destroyed, truncated, exchanged, stolen, diverted, or buried by evil forces, due to sin, but the good news is that it can be restored through quality repentance and prayers.

1. Father, I thank You for the salvation of my soul in Jesus’ name. – Joh. 3:16

2. Father, have mercy on me and forgive all my sins of disobedience and luke warmness, in Jesus name.

3. Father, arise and destroy every evil force assigned to waste and destroy my destiny and the destinies of the members of my family, in Jesus’ name.

INTRODUCTION: What is vision? Vision is the ability to see, it is sight or eyesight. It is something that you imagine or a picture that you see or dream of. Vision can be truncated or manipulated if concentrated prayers are not engaged by the carrier of the vision.

1. Father, thank You for the gift of vision, in Jesus name.

2. Father, pour Your spirit upon all people and cause our young men to see visions of heaven in Jesus name. – Joel 2:28

3. Oh Lord open and enlighten our eyes of understanding to see the invisible, in the name of Jesus.

4. Father, deliver us from spiritual blindness, in the name of Jesus.

5. Father, give us visions concerning our nation and our families and cause us to attend to every vision You give to us, in the name of Jesus.

Lust is a strong craving for sex that has tampered with the destinies of many youths.

Satan knows that once you engage in premarital sex, you will be reduced to nothing, as stated in today’s memory verse, and this will eventually affect your destiny.

For the next few days, I will be sharing practical steps on how to control or banish lust so that you can live a victorious life.

Some of these steps are:
1. Avoid tempting situations: Don’t put yourself in a situation where you will be alone with an object or a person that creates unhealthy desires in you, such as: pictures, videos, movies, et cetera. Set boundaries around what you access on your phone, computer, and TV. If you must meet with someone that you are sexually attracted to, always make sure that it is in a public place.

2. Consider the consequences of sexual immorality: Whenever thoughts arise about a person or object of unhealthy sexual desire, also consider the consequences that acting on that desire can lead to, such as unwanted pregnancy, STDs, guilt, the feeling of being separated from God, et cetera Think carefully about these consequences.

One of the greatest needs of a Christian is to discover and experience the privilege of effective prayers because it is one thing to pray and it is another thing to pray effectively.

As a teenager, you may know how to pray with confidence, but listening. to God and knowing His will are what will bring answers to your prayers.

I have a problem with Christians who talk about prayers often but never pray: I hope you are not like that.

If you want to pray right, then you must ask the Holy Spirit to help you so that you don’t just wait in the place of prayers for hours with no results to show.

One of the ways to pray effectively is by praying for something that would glorify God.

Praying for things that are dear to His heart, such as asking for an opportunity to share the gospel with a family member, teacher or lecturer, or for the ability to love your neighbour and become better in your character are also ways to pray effectively.

God will not fail to answer these kinds of requests, and in addition, He will give you other things that you didn’t ask for, just like He did for Solomon. (1 Kings 3:12-14)

INTRODUCTION: Sanctification is the process of deliberately studying the word of God and living by His instructions, especially when faced with the temptation to do the wrong thing. When you are sanctified, you will hate iniquity.

Let us pray;

1. Father, thank You for the salvation of my soul in Jesus name.

2. Father, we repent of our ignorance and sins of compromise, in Jesus name.

3. Father, in any way we have made You too small in our eyes please have mercy on us, in Jesus name.

Heaven is a place from where God reigns and controls all things. When you are under the influence of heaven, it means that you are under the authority of the kingdom of God.

When you operate under open heavens, you achieve things effortlessly, resources come to you easily, helpers locate u promptly, and the host of heaven is always on standby to attend to your case.

Through the Scriptures, I have come to understand that functioning under a closed heaven is one of the reasons that children of God encounter tough moments and hardship.

For instance, when God shut the windows of heaven at the word of Elijah in 1 Kings 17, there was no rain in Israel for three and a half years.

Things were very hard, and there was a famine in the land. When a student keeps writing and failing exams even after preparing hard, he or she might just be operating under a closed heaven.

When a problem persists for a long time, even after fasting, praying, and staying away from sin, the fellow(s) being affected is most likely living under a closed heaven.

This is why you must pray for yourself and your parents that God will open the heavens over you so that your efforts and investments in life will yield great results.

TOPIC: LET THE WIND BLOW AWAY FAILURE AT THE EDGE OF MY SUCCESS
BIBLE TEXT(S): Deut. 32:51-52; John.5:7

INTRODUCTION: Failure at the edge of success is a bad spirit that is assigned to truncate the destinies of the children of God. A case study is that of Moses in Deut. 32:51-52, when he smote the rock instead of speaking to it, he only saw the Promised Land but did not enter.

Let us pray;

1. Father, I thank You for the gift of life through the death of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2. Father, I repent of the sins of disobedience and anger, in Jesus’ name.

3. Father, I plead the blood of Jesus over my life and family, in Jesus’ name.

4. Father, please deliver me from the spirit of anger, in Jesus’ name.

5. Father, by the authority in the name of Jesus, I command every evil force that will cause me to fail at the edge of my breakthrough to be paralyzed in Jesus name.

6. Father, let every provocation that will cause me to fail at the edge of my success be cut off in the name of Jesus.

OPEN HEAVEN 7 FEBRUARY 2024 MESSAGE

John 1:12 says:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

If you have received Christ into your heart and you believe in His name, not just in word, but in deeds such that everyone around you can see from your lifestyle that you are a believer in Christ, then you qualify to be called a child of God.

On the other hand, the Bible says that the devil has his own children too.

Jesus Christ was addressing the Pharisees and He said to them in John 8:44:
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The question then is, how do we tell a child of God apart from a child of the devil? The Bible answers this question aptly.

For example, the Bible says that people who love the world do not have the love of God in them (1 John 2:15-16). This clearly implies that such people cannot be described as God’s children.

When you see someone who loves material things more than God, that fellow does not have the love of God in him and hence cannot be His child if he or she remains in that state.

A child of God on the other hand is one who is born of the Spirit and focuses on spiritual things rather than worldly things.

John 3:3-7 says that anyone who wants to enter into the kingdom of God must be born of the Spirit, and of course, only the children of God can enter into His kingdom. This is why you must be born again.

Beloved, when you are born again, you are born of the Spirit, and you truly become a child of God.

When you are born of the Spirit, you will begin to live by the Spirit and be led by Him.

You will begin to exhibit the fruit of the Spirit as written in Galatians 5:22-23.

Remember, it is the kind of fruit you produce that will determine who your father truly is.
