TOPIC: DYNAMICS OF GRACE (PART 2)

OPENING PRAYER: Father, deepen my understanding of the operations of grace in Jesus name.

MEMORY VERSE: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” Hebrews 12:28 (NKJV).

BIBLE PASSAGE: 2 Corinthians 8:6-9.

[6]So we urged Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also complete this grace in you as well.

[7]But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us—see that you abound in this grace also. Christ Our Pattern

[8]I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others.

[9]For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

INTRODUCTION: In addition to the description of ‘Grace’ given in the previous lesson, Grace can also be referred to as the divine influence in a human heart that reflects on the outside. It produces favour, beauty, goodwill, loveliness, and ability. It increases as one grows in the knowledge of God’s word (2 Pet.3:18). We shall therefore consider the various dimensions of grace mentioned in the Bible as well as some actions that can be taken with or against grace.

1. DIMENSIONS OF GRACE
The teacher should give the following Scriptures to the students and ask them to identify the types/dimension of grace they contain.
i. Psalms 145:9; Matt. 5:45. (Common Grace).

ii. Eph. 2:4-9; Titus 2:11. (Saving Grace).

iii. 2 Cor. 4:15. (Abundant Grace).

iv. Titus 2:12; 1Jh. 2:15-16. (Sanctifying Grace).

v. Rom. 6:14; Jude 1:24-25. (Sustaining Grace).

vi. Phil. 4:13; Luke 1:37. (Supernatural/Enabling Grace).

vii. Rom. 12:6; Eph. 4:7. (Service/Gifting Grace).

viii. 2 Cor. 9:8; 1Pet. 5:10. (Sufficient Grace).

ix. 1 Sam.17:36-37. (Victorious Grace).

x. Gen. 22:9-10; 2 Cor. 12:15. (Sacrificial Grace).

xi. Acts 4:33. (Great Grace).

xii. 1 Cor. 9:27. (Eternal Grace).
The teacher should summarize this outline by stating that the access key to the grace is the degree of one’s connection with Christ and the desire to grow in Him. John 15:5; Phil. 4:13; 2 Pet. 3:18:

2. WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH/AGAINST GRACE
A. WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH GRACE
Teacher should let the class know that there are lots of benefits that a believer can derive from grace apart from salvation.
i. You can attract blessings through grace (Acts 4:23; Psalm 84:11).

ii. Grace can impact faith (Acts 18:27).

iii. Grace can make one to become God’s elect (Rom.11:5).

iv. You can become bold/courageous through grace (1 Cor. 15:10).

v. Believers receive call into ministry by grace (Gal 1:15).

vi. Through grace, believers render acceptable services to God (Heb. 12:28).

vii. Through grace, believers can give right answers to questions or human riddles; It seasons our speech (Col. 4:6).

viii. Grace gives strength to believers (2 Tim. 2:1).

ix. Grace gives help in the time of needs (Heb. 4:16).

x. Grace brings hope (2Thes. 2:16).

B. WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO WITH GRACE
i. Do not receive grace in vain (2 Cor. 6:1).

ii. Do not frustrate grace in your life (Gal. 2:21).

iii. Do not fall from grace (Gal. 1:6-8; 5:4).

iv. Do not fail of the grace of God (Heb. 12:15).

v. Do not turn grace into lasciviousness (Jude 4).

vi. Do not continue in sin in spite of grace (Rom. 6:1).

vii. Do not reject grace through pride (James 4:6).

CLASS ACTIVITY 2: What should you do and not do to grace?

CONCLUSION: Every believer must aspire to grow in grace (2 Pet.3:18). It is a dangerous thing to abuse grace despite its benefits.

EVALUATION: What should you do and not do to grace?

CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty father, let my life reflect your grace always.

ASSIGNMENT: Mention any two dimensions of grace and state how they have worked for you (2×5=10 marks).

OPEN HEAVEN 9 JUNE 2023 MESSAGE

The colour blue is widely considered as the colour of love and it is one of the colours that can be seen in pure light. 1 John 4:8 says God is love. What does love do for you? The mere fact that you are associated with the love of God makes you more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).

Deuteronomy 28:1-7 tells us that you don’t even have to fight against your enemies if you have the Light inside you. It says if they rise against you, they will be smitten before your face. You don’t even have to lift your hands; you just watch as the Lord – your Lover, takes care of your enemies.

There was once a military ruler in Nigeria who wanted to convert to a civilian president. He consulted some of his occult people and they said that I would be a threat to his ambition. The military ruler decided to come and pick me up and in those days, whenever that happened, the person involved was not likely to return alive.

Fortunately for me, one of my spiritual children working with an arm of the government caught whiff of the plan and alerted me that they were coming for me within the next two weeks. I did not tell my wife; I just went out that night on my normal prayer walk and my Lover spoke to me.

That is one thing that love does; it enables you to hear secrets from God (John 13:21-26). God told me plainly not to worry and that I would even outlive the fellow.

A few days later, at the Holy Ghost Service on the first Friday of June, I said to the congregation, “Greet one another and say, “Happy New Year”. They obeyed and Indeed by Sunday, the nation experienced a new beginning. That military ruler became deceased and his successor handed over to a democratically elected government. Love made me more than a conqueror.

When you combine all the seven colours that make up the rainbow, they give you the colour white which symbolises purity and holiness. Purity and holiness will not only attract blessings to you but will also make you see God (Matthew 5:8).

In conclusion, all the blessings we’ve discussed in this series can only manifest in your life if you obey God’s command to live holy (1 Peter 1:16).

Father, please open my womb of success, and let me get a breakthrough that will be so big that it would be impossible for me to enjoy it alone. The womb of my success shall be opened this month, in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare; my day is blessed and shall be full of testimonies in the name of Jesus

I decree and declare that I fear not; for I shalt not be ashamed: neither will I be confounded; for I will forget the shame of my youth, and shall not remember the reproach of my affliction any more in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that the light of God that lives within me is the Vine therefore I become fruitful. God gives me the ability to be fruitful even in situations where others have been barren. This is His promise to His children and I receive it in Jesus’ name.

Based on our memory verse, if the world considers you “foolish” because you live by
Biblical principles, you are blessed indeed. The children of this world believe they are smart or wise when they cut corners, cheat to get ahead of a neighbour, defraud the government and/or individuals, tell lies to avoid punishment, or emotionally manipulate people to wield things in their favour.

Whereas the Bible in Romans 1:21-22 says: “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful: but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

God considers people who think they are wise in their own eyes as fools, so you must be different by adopting the wisdom which comes from fearing God.

OPEN HEAVEN 8 JUNE 2023 MESSAGE

Embedded in pure light is the colour green – the colour of fruitfulness. John 15:1-5 says there is no way you can have the Light in you and remain barren. The Light that lives within you is the Vine you connect to so as to become fruitful (John 15:5).

He gives you the ability to be fruitful even in situations where others have been barren. He said about those who are His children: There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil. – Exodus 23:26

Green is also the colour of power (Acts 1:8). When you carry the Light within you, you will have the power of God operating through you. You need power to move forward. It is the engine inside a vehicle that determines how fast it can go.

When the Light is within you, you have a very high level of power that makes you accelerate at an unusual speed. In other words, when you carry the Light, your promotion will be extra rapid. Believe me honestly, you can enjoy such great speed in your career that even you will be trembling at the thought of it.

One of my sons came to me once, saying he had a job interview and he wanted me to just speak a word over him. I said, “Go and the interview will go well.” He said, “Amen” and left. He returned the following day excited that not only did the interview go well but that he got the job (Deputy Managing Director) and the board asked him to resume the very next day.

I congratulated him and he said, “No, speak another word”. I said, “Alright, the Almighty God who has given you the job will make your promotion rapid”. He went and then the following day, came again, trembling. “Daddy, I got to the place of work, and was told that after I left the previous day, their Managing Director resigned.

There, on the spot, I was offered the role of Managing Director”. I congratulated him again and he said, “No Daddy, speak another word”. I then said, “The God who has begun a good work in you will perfect it”.

He came back to testify the day after that his salary had been doubled. I speak a word to you now: your promotion shall be rapid, in the mighty name of Jesus.

It is rather unfortunate that many people in the world today are still losing their great destiny to food. Food can be very powerful. Adam and Eve lost their lives of bliss, peace, abundance, glory, and honour to food.

Is it not amazing that despite the abundant food variety provided by God for Adam and Eve, they still developed an appetite for the particular one that was forbidden?

Some Christians now find it difficult to fast, Some even see it as a form of punishment, and this is because they have made their bellies master.

Remember the story of Esau and how he lost his birthright to Jacob because of food (pottage). Even our Lord Jesus Christ was tempted with food, but He gave a profound response, as seen in the memory verse.

Many ladies have sold their pride of virginity for things that don’t matter, like food, the latest smartphone, wigs, et cetera. Beloved, don’t eat or sell your destiny: rather, be guided by the word of God.

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto You: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

My father, I come humbly before You and I ask that You forgive my trespasses. Search my heart, purge it and wash me clean oh Lord.

Father, I desire Your mercy in my life. Father please, have mercy upon me in the name of Jesus.

Father, please let Your blessings that make rich and addeth no sorrow be my portion in Jesus’ name.

Oh Lord my God, You are a God of abundance. Please shower Your abundance upon my life and put an end to scarcity and lack in my life and family in Jesus’ name.

Father please help me to fully obey and serve You, and as I do so, please let me spend my days in prosperity, and my years in pleasures in Jesus’ name.

Father please, set me on high above all nations of the earth in the name of Jesus.

Father, let all these blessings come on me, and overtake me, as I hearken unto Your voice in Jesus’ name.

Father, let me be blessed in the city and in the field. Let the fruit of my body, and the fruit of my ground be blessed in Jesus name.

Father, please bless my basket and my store. Let my earnings, savings, and investments be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Father, please cause my enemies that rise up against me to be smitten before my face: if they come out against me in one way, they shall flee in seven ways in the name of Jesus.

LORD please bless my storehouses, and in all that I set my hand to do in Jesus’ name.

Oh Lord, help me to do my work well. Please provide the grace, wisdom, people, resources and everything I need to do it well and please reward me greatly in Jesus’ name.

Father, put a new song in my mouth, and praise unto You: let many see it, and fear, and trust in the LORD in Jesus’ name.

Oh Lord, Grant me the grace to continue in prayer. May I not give up on the verge of my breakthrough in the name of Jesus!

Father, please direct my footsteps, and take me to a place of prosperity in the name of Jesus.

Lord please, take take away every negative person and negative group from me, and surround me with of good counsel in Jesus’ name.

Lord I pray against every bad vision and revelation upon my life; and I pray that only Your will shall come to pass in my life in Jesus’ name.

Lord, bless Your son Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye for all his years of continual service, remember him, guide him on the path, help him remain focused, and bless his entire household, in Jesus’ name.

Father, bless everyone dedicating their time to pray through these prayers at the point of their needs. Give them the grace to share/rebroadcast, in Jesus’ name.

Praises and Thanksgiving be unto the Lord for His great works in my life in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that I give and I receive. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will it be put into my lap in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare according to scriptures that God daily loads my family and I with benefits. God wants me to prosper. I will not be victim of the destruction that comes upon people because of poverty in Jesus’ name.

I decree into my life: I will prosper, in the mighty name of Jesus!

I decree and declare that I carry the light of the Lord within me. I carry unlimited energy. The light of God within me makes me enjoy the kind of energy that people can’t understand. My strength is daily renewed in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that no matter how old I get, my energy will never run out, in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that I am connected with the light of God, therefore I am connected to gold and I must prosper in God’s way in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that my household and I do the will of God and people glorify God for our lives in Jesus’ name.

OPEN HEAVEN 7 JUNE 2023 BIBLE READING ISAIAH 40:28 -31

OPEN HEAVEN 7 JUNE 2023 MESSAGE

When white light is passed through a prism, one of the colors you would see is yellow. Yellow is the colour of the sun and one of the names of Jesus Christ is the Sun of righteousness (Malachi 4:2). The yellow that is embedded in the light of God in you brings healing with it.

Yellow, being the colour of the sun, also means that it is the colour of unlimited energy. When you carry this light of God within you, you enjoy the kind of energy that people can’t understand. This is because Isaiah 40:31 says that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

When l was about to turn 70, l asked God if l could retire and “He said, ‘No’. Then l thought l would rest for the whole year instead. What l discovered is that my 70th year was busier than every year before it and, by the grace of God, l am still standing. No matter how old you are, your energy will never run out, in Jesus’ name.

Yellow is the colour of pure gold and that is why, if you are connected with the light of God, you just must prosper. Furthermore, Philippians 4:19 says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 23:5 shows us that our God is God of abundance. Believe me honestly, all you need is single breakthrough and you will cross the border of poverty forever (Malachi 3:10).

There was once an Arab boy who got born again in an Islamic country and escape to England to avoid persecution. He got to London and worked as a waiter in a restaurant. Life was very difficult for him but he held on to his faith.

One day, he overhead a rich Arabian man grumbling to himself in Arabic. He asked the man what was wrong. The rich Arabian, who had come to London to buy houses had become frustrated about his failure due to his inability to speak English.

The man, excited that he had found someone who understood both Arabic and English, asked the boy to be his interpreter and paid him one million pounds per day for three days. Once you carry the light of God within you, you become a candidate for divine prosperity.
