OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 9 MAY 2023 MESSAGE

One truth we should take cognizance of from today’s text is that only those that are alive in Christ and the dead in Christ will rise at rapture. The “dead in Christ” are those who died as Christians, not sinners Or backsliders: they would partake in the rapture. Interestingly, only genuine Christians anticipate this event.

Beloved, if you want to be caught up in glory on the last day when He comes again, you must live your life in accordance to the will of God. To be rapturable, you must be a child of God and take a stand for Jesus Christ, irrespective of the persecution, tribulations, trials, and temptations you face.

Shun every distraction in this world because it will only make you forget about the glorious event that will come after this world. Be vigilant, so you will finish the Heavenly race and make it when the trumpet sounds.

1. Psalm 27:14 – “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!“

Prayer point: Father, give me the strength and courage to wait for your perfect timing and help me to trust in your plan for my life, in Jesus’ name.

2. Psalm 40:1-2 – “I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.“

Prayer point: Lord, help me to patiently wait for you to bring me out of the pit of delay and set my feet upon a firm foundation, in Jesus’ name.

5. Psalm 37:7 – “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!“

Prayer point: Father, help me to be still before you and trust in your faithfulness, even when it seems like others are prospering while I am delayed, in Jesus’ name.

6. Psalm 130:1-2 – “Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord! O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!“

Prayer point: Lord, hear my cry for mercy as I wait for you to move in my life and bring an end to this delay, in Jesus’ name.

7. Psalm 37:34 – “Wait for the Lord and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land; you will look on when the wicked are cut off.“

Beloved brothers and sisters, there is no better time to engage in the battle of prayers than at midnight.

Midnight prayers are powerful tools in the hands of a believer who desires to take back what the enemy has stolen.

Delay is one of the enemy’s most potent weapons against the children of God, but we serve a Living God who is the author of acceleration.

Prepare Your Heart: A prepared heart easily accommodate opportunities. Before you praying, make sure you prepare your heart to praise and receive from God. Repent of any sin and ask God for forgiveness. Invite the Holy Spirit to come and guide you in your midnight prayers.

Rest During The Day: Take a nap or rest enough during the day, so that you would be much awake by midnight. You don’t want to be talking to God with a sleepy face. Also, you can tell a loved one to keep you accountable. They can call or check up on you.

Pray With Expectation: Believe that God will answer your midnight prayers. The Bible tells us in Matthew 21:22, that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive.

Pray With Scriptures: The Word of God is powerful. Hebrews 4:12 says it’s like a two-edged sword. Use scriptures to pray, especially at midnight. Find relevant verses that relate to your situation/challenge and pray them back to God. We’ll keep updating this community with scriptures relevant to specific situations.

Pray in tongues: Speaking in tongues is a powerful tool in the hand of every believer. It’s a spiritual language that the Holy Spirit gives to believers. When you pray in tongues Romans 8:26-27 tells us that, you are praying in the Spirit, and the Holy Spirit helps you to pray according to the will of God.

Pray with perseverance: Don’t give up on your midnight prayers. Keep praying until you receive an answer. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to pray without ceasing. Keep praying until you receive your breakthrough.

Pray in the name of Jesus: The name of Jesus is powerful. It is by His name that we have access to the Father. Therefore, always pray in the name of Jesus.

Midnight prayers are powerful. It is a time of spiritual activity, and believers can tap into this power through prayer. As you pray, remember to prepare your heart, pray with expectation, pray in the name of Jesus, pray with scriptures, pray in tongues, and pray with perseverance. OPEN HEAVEN 9 MAY 2023 MESSAGE

When God promotes you, you must never forget that your loyalty must be to Him and only Him. (1 Samuel 15:15-24) records that when Saul became king, he forgot the One who put him there. God sent him on a mission; he failed, and his reason was, “I feared the people”. Don’t try to lower the standard of God because you want to be popular.

Don’t forget that God is sovereign; He can do and undo. He can change His mind. Each time we read (1 Samuel 2), we love to quote verse 8 and ignore verse 7 which says that the Lord makes rich and He makes poor, He can take a beggar from the dunghill and promote him until he is sitting with princes.

In (1 Samuel 2:30), He said to Eli, “I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed”. He can promote and He can demote.

Never forget that God always has a substitute ready. You can never hold God to ransom. If He promotes you and you think that without you, He cannot do anything, He would just bring in the substitute.

For over a decade, King Saul was still on the throne, but David had already being chosen and anointed king. Saul was merely carrying the title but David was the approved king. Right in the house of Eli, little Samuel was already rising – the one who would take over was already there, in waiting.

My prayer is that God will promote you, but don’t forget that when He does, you must put Him first and obey Him completely. You must help others and never use your position to oppress people. Proverbs 22:22-23 says God Himself will plead the case of those who oppress others.

Let your promotion birth promotion for many other people too. Perhaps you are the one resisting God’s promotion by indulging in one sin or the other. The Bible says if you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, He will lift you. Surrender all to Him and let Him begin to lift you.
